Publisher's summary

This exciting romantic spy novel from Roseanna M. White combines fascinating cloak-and-dagger secrets with a tale of love and intrigue during the Revolutionary War.

Winter Reeves is an aristocratic Patriot forced to hide her heart amid the Loyalists of the City of New York. She has learned to keep her ears open so she can pass information on British movements to Robbie Townsend, her childhood friend, and his spy ring. If she's caught, if she's hung for espionage...well, she won't be. Robbie has taught her the tools of the trade: the wonders of invisible ink, drop locations and, most importantly, a good cover.

Bennet Lane returns to New York from his Yale professorship with one goal: to find General Washington's spy hidden among the ranks of the elite. Searching for a wife was supposed to be nothing more than a convenient cover story for his mission, but when he meets Winter, with her too-intelligent eyes in her too-blank face, he finds a mystery that can't be ignored.

Both believers...and both committed to a separate cause. Will their faith in God lead them to a shared destiny or lives lived apart?

Excellent Entertaining & Inspiring

Must Read! Rosanna White is becoming one of my favorite authors. Ring of Secrets is set in our nation’s most important times. The author plots with intriguing historical characters woven in believable circumstances. God and Providence war for the heart of Bennet Lane and the author shows the battle in a way that even Ben Lane himself but believe. The performance of Sarah Zimmerman is flawless. You totally forget it’s one person.

The only flaw in this book is the grandfather’s reasoning and actions.

Entertaining and educational

It was interesting being reminded of a period in history and a glimpse of the people in that ara with the espionage going on around them. A very fun rendition. I look forward to the next book although I hope a new narrator is selected. This one seldom attempted to change voices with different characters and men and women often sounded similar.

Incredible example of faith & selflessness

This story is about love, of course. Also about faith in God. It’s easy for us to pray & when we don’t get what we expect, to then say God doesn’t exist or if He does, He doesn’t care about me. The story tells you why that happens. It is also a great example to remember who we are and what we have. To be willing to put it all on the line for those not even born yet. We reap the rewards from those who were real & not characters in a book, but did and gave what the characters in the book did, and more. We need to be as they once were. So that as we stand on their backs others can rise higher when standing on ours.

Narrator Ruins This Wonderful Story

I almost completely gave up on this book due to the horrible narration, but knowing White's skill I instead got a hard copy to read for myself. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS AUDIO VERSION.

Love anything that refers to history

Loved all the scripture references, they were encouraging. The narration was well done and enjoyable.

Fabulous Story

I don’t normally read books from this time period but I’m so glad I did. I couldn’t stop listening to this book. It had mystery, intrigue, romance, and the characters were interesting.

Christian book- way too preachy

I would have liked this so much more if it weren't a Christian story disguised as historical fiction. It's very preachy and not what I want in my fiction novels.

Wonderful!

Roseanna White writes suspenseful romance with great twists and turns that leave you wanting more. With characters seeking truth and seeking God’s Will, it’s a wonderful reminder that He loves us and His weave is more intricate than we could ever know. With a tendency to binge read her books, I love that the endings always have surprises that leave no stone unturned and nothing left out, often with a lead of her next book. Fantastic writer and wonderful intro book to the series. I did listen to them out of order, but am strongly considering listening to them again in the correct order. So lovely—always echoing our Heavenly Father’s love, even when complete devastation occurs. He is there.

Bana-Miss leading description. Makes me angry.

I really don't appreciate when author of faith-based books. deceive readers by not listing it in the quick description like; romance, mystery, historical... how hard is it to note faith based alongside. especially when a good third of the book is prayer and preaching. by the end of the story, I was pretty much ignoring the story to get away from all the preaching. I will agree that there is a time and a place prayer and witnessing but very chapter. Give me a break.
