Couldn't stop listening. Loved the story and narrator was so good. A great love story with references to God and prayer that I love in stories.

Loved the book

I really loved this book. Such a sweet story, started off a little slow but picked up quickly. I was sad when it ended.

I absolutely loved this story..I cannot wait to start another of Laura’s books.
This story had wonderful twists and turns, keeping me on the eye of my seat throughout.

loved the hole book. the last few chapters were worth the waite I recommend this book and love the narrators voice and tone.

Loved it but..

It took a bit to engage in the story; however, once it came together it took off and was well done. I would have preferred a bit longer of sn ending. Perhaps an epilogue. There was so much to get to the end, I felt like the end needed more. Overall a good read.

Great Story by Frantz! Narrater was Subpar

Laura Frantz truly has a gift for writing wonderful historical fiction stories and this one is no exception!! The narrater, however, was not my preference. A bit monotone and didn’t have a knack for being the story to life.

Well written and EXCELLENT narration

Story - excellent descriptions of the scenery and characters, you feel like you are there. It is clean and Godly, I love that aspect. The story only lacked some intensity for me, it had great potential to produce a lot of strain and sort of didn’t at times.

Narration - WONDERFUL. She switches from Scottish to English. I love her character voices, I feel like they embody the person. She creates true differences in speech depending on the character. Cannot say enough good things.

Fabulous

A rich, layered story with multi-dimensional mature characters who you wish you could spend more time with after the book ends. And I learned about a time in history relatively unfamiliar to me. I enjoyed the narration and the Scottish accents! Tremendous book!
