Publisher's Summary
The sequel you’ve been waiting for: the follow-up to the sensational number-one best seller The Devil Wears Prada.
Eight years have passed since Andrea "Andy" Sachs quit the job "a million girls would die for" working for Miranda Priestly at Runway magazine - a dream that turned out to be a nightmare. Now Andy’s on the top of the world: She’s writing and reporting to her heart’s content; running The Plunge, her wildly successful high-fashion bridal magazine with Miranda’s other ex-assistant, Emily; and most importantly, getting married to the scion of a storied media family and the love of her life.
But the night before her wedding, Andy can’t sleep. As happy as she is - as happy as she should be - she’s still haunted by the specter of her former boss. Maybe it’s survivor syndrome? Or maybe it’s justifiable, self-inflicted, paranoia. From the start, Andy and Emily have felt entitled to use their rolodex of contacts - Miranda’s contacts - from Runway as they make their way in the magazine world. As The Plunge succeeds, Andy and Emily realize they’ll soon come face to face with their former tormenter at industry functions, award ceremonies, and even weddings. Still, Andy can hardly anticipate the horrifying reality that’s approaching - a reversal so profound that she will be squarely in Miranda’s crosshairs once more.
Karma’s a bitch. And Andy’s efforts to build a bright new life have led her directly to the one she fled - and into the path of the Devil herself.

Very Disappointed!
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I loved The Devil Wears Prada and was very excited when I saw the sequel. I should have listened to the reviews! This book was very disappointing. The characters were shallow and annoying. The witty, smart Andy from the first book has grown up into a whiny woman with no self esteem. In the entire book, she can't make a single decision or deal with any situations that life brings her way.
The story line was another huge disappointment. Two-thirds of this book deals with pregnancy, gory birthing details and describing babies. Not at all what you'd expect from Devil Wears Prada type of book. The last third deals with shallow characters who can't deal with life. Miranda is hardly present in the story.
Would you ever listen to anything by Lauren Weisberger again?
I would, but after carefully reading the reviews.
What didn’t you like about Megan Hilty’s performance?
She was just okay. Should have kept the original Andy narrator.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
No. Not even close to what I was expecting and was excited about.
Any additional comments?
If you are looking for a fun summer listen, look elsewhere.

Not worthy of Prada
If you must read this book, read it, don't listen to it. The narration by Megan Hilty is painful and should be avoided, which is a shame since she is a darling on Broadway.
The story is so unsatisfying as to be a near, if not complete, waste of time. There is none of the charm of the original book, and this contrived story is only a meager attempt at reprising the original greatness.

HORRIBLE BAIT AND SWITCH.....WASTE OF MY TIME
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I NEVER WASTE MY TIME REVIEWING BOOKS BUT I AM SO INSULTED BY THE HORRIBLE MEDIOCRITY OF THIS BOOK THAT I FEEL THE NEED TO WARN ANY READER WHO MAY CONSIDER THIS A WORTHWHILE READ.....BASED ON THE FIRST BOOK (Which was also not very good, but at least it had a little drama based onreal life ) This book feels like the writer has done nothing since writing the first book other than attending baby classes and complaining about the world....This could have been at least a 2 star experience if it in any way followed up on the original story, The Devil Wears Prada,or if it had any drama or REVENGE for that matter. THERE IS ONE DINNER WITH THE ANTAGONIST OF THE FIRST BOOK AND THE REST OF THE BOOK IS ABOUT A PATHETIC, WHINY, INCAPABLE GIRL WORRYING ABOUT HER PERFECT HUSBAND NOT LOVING HER ENOUGH, MOMMY AND ME GROUPS, ETC.....TOTAL BORE.....SHOULD BE CALLED "WHINERS CAN'T WRITE". THE ONLY DEMOGRAPHIC WHO COULD APPRECIATE THIS BOOK IS THE TWEEN DEMOGRAPHIC......
Has Revenge Wears Prada turned you off from other books in this genre?
Yes, I rarely read (or listen) to silly books like this but many friends mentioned it prior to its publication, so I read it.
What about Megan Hilty’s performance did you like?
She was quite good. She managed to go from whiny Andrea to the nanny from Australia (or New Zealand or South Africa) without a hitch.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Revenge Wears Prada?
This book is really bad.....If I were editor, I would have been looking back at the Devil Wears Prada and forward to a possible movie deal. I would have had SOME, ANY drama and REVENGE and SOME, ANY Miranda Priestly tidbits....This writer is obviously a ONE HIT WONDER. She has no talent. Given the platform she received from the first book, she completely failed at bringing a decent story.....IF THE MAIN CHARACTER WAS AN ACQUAINTANCE OF MINE, I WOULD HAVE TO SLAP HER. The first half of the book is all about her ridiculously perfect Prince Charming fiance/husband who she (a loser) actually considers not marrying because his mother doesn't approve of her......IF THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A MODEL OF A HIGH POWERED MAGAZINE EDITOR, IT IS PATHETIC....THIS GIRL WOULD NOT LAST A DAY IN A WORLD WHERE EVERYONE DOESN'T FAWN ON HER....
Any additional comments?
AGAIN, HORRIBLE.....I READ 40-50 BOOKS PER YEAR AND THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST ONE I HAVE READ IN YEARS.....

Disappointing!
What disappointed you about Revenge Wears Prada?
This author has done it again. The Devil Wears Prada was perfect -laugh out loud funny. Since reading it, I've tried one other book by the author and now Revenge. How this woman wrote Devil I don't know because Revenge will be the second book by her I'm not going to finish. The story is thin and not funny. The narrator is horrible. She basically reads the book to you with a slight attempt at some actual expression which falls flat. I can't believe I paid $20 for this.
Has Revenge Wears Prada turned you off from other books in this genre?
No.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Megan Hilty?
Anyone!
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Revenge Wears Prada?
So far, most.

Silly and Tedious
What a mistake this book was. If you are looking for another Devil Wears Prada this IS NOT it. I was so looking forward to this sequel. In fact, I listened to The Devil Wears Prada again to provide more context and really enjoy this book. I was entranced and very much enjoyed TDWP yet again. It really highlighted how dreary and boring this book is.
If you want endless descriptions of Andy's baby, pregnancy, baby, delivery, baby routine, baby crying, baby, baby, baby mommy hood, baby Clementine, having to go to work and missing baby, and constantly thinking about baby then you will love it. I found it terribly tedious and I really wanted to like it. When you are not hearing about the baby Andy spends an inordinate amount of time being sick, being sad, whining and being totally unreasonable about the opportunity to sell the magazine she starts with Emily (from the first book).
Do yourself a favor and skip this one. It is not worth the credit and it is hours of my life I could have spent doing something more enjoyable, like washing the dishes.

Has Revenge Wears Prada turned you off from other books in this genre?
Absolutely
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Megan Hilty?
Narration was fine.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Revenge Wears Prada?
Don't bother to put pen to paper with contrived, boring drivel.

Waste of time
Would you ever listen to anything by Lauren Weisberger again?
Perhaps, because I really enjoyed a devil wears Prada. Unfortunately this audio is nothing like its prequel. It is sad follow-up and Andrea is so annoying. All she does is complain and whine about anything and everything.
Have you listened to any of Megan Hilty’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
She is the only redeeming part of this audio.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The first hour was good and then it derailed from there. The next three hours are about how she didn't quite trust her boyfriend but still marries him. Meanwhile there is no back story about their history. She complains so much about Max which would have been fine within context and had it been central to the plot of the story. the main problem is that throughout most of the book she questions if he is the one; if he is honest; her soul mate? And at the same time she also declares how perfect he is at least 20 times. Make up your mind! It was all very juvenile.
Any additional comments?
Be warned, this is a bad story! I won't even bother going into the various story lines that are neither developed or interesting. It is really the complete opposite of a devil wears Prada. Not an enjoyable listen, in fact I couldn't finish it.

Disappointing from Start to Finish
This book was nothing like the original. It should not have been called "Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns." The devil barely featured into this book and honestly was mostly about drama in Andy's personal life. The book really should have been titled "A Bad Marriage and Unrequited Love." An awful book don't waste your time, money or credits.

An interesting read
if you are thirteen. The first book was a fun read but this one is full contrived angst. It features a navel-gazing "heroine?" who consistently avoids dealing with her problems. When she finally gets around to taking action, the author serves up a jump in time--eg. she has a huge fight with her husband and best friend and suddenly it is a year later. No insights about dealing with the conflict, only the results. I kept envisioning Meryl Streep in the movie and hoping for a follow up. It is a good bet that we will not see Ms. Streep in the sequel because hopefully, Hollywood will overlook this bit of nonsense as should most readers.

people that don't understand english
What could Lauren Weisberger have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
not written it
Would you be willing to try another one of Megan Hilty’s performances?
reader was fine.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
disappointment and anger -- the original was a fun read and i was looking forward to the sequel. total disappointment and waste of my precious tim on earth.
Any additional comments?
reminded my of watching Anne Hathaway at awards ceremonies -- you knew her over the top reactions were totally bogus, overly melodramatic and didn't really make sense if you had any understanding of reality .... this book was just like that.
