I was not disappointed!
Just when I thought I couldn't dislike a character anymore... Liv Constantine releases The First Shot. This prequel was so well done. The groundwork for The Last Mrs. Parrish was laid so perfectly. Amber's deceit levels go to, and the distance she is willing to go for what she feels she deserves is wild. I really enjoyed the narration; Suzanne Elise Freeman is very talented. She has a very soothing voice to listen to, and she brought the characters to life very vividly. The twist was poetic, and the karma was swift. I very much enjoyed this!

Wow...talk about Womenly Wiles
I am about an hour in. This is a story about a deceiving woman using her womanly wiles to snag a rich man and get him to marry her. Well then...I guess this can be real life. Interested to see how this comes to a conclusion. Will have to listen to the next book!

The Evolution of Amber
NO SPOILERS! This story was such a nice surprise. I love “The Last Mrs Parish” and the prequel did not disappoint. I only wished it was longer.
I recommend this to anyone who read “The Last Mrs Parish” and if you haven’t , listen to this one first.
Now I’m going to listen to the last mrs parish again.

I read the last mrs Parrish so long ago I didn’t remember it. The list line of this novella brought it all back. Fun and well done!!

Great quick read!
I read The Last Mrs. Parrish earlier this year and really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed this one too. It was great to read more about what happened to Amber before she set her sights on Jackson Parrish.

What Karma looks like
What a great book, you have to love when a money hungry witch gets what she deserves at the end. She really thought she could fool everyone when in the end she was the one who got fooled!! A very enjoyable book for sure

I recall listening to the “sequel” to this book some time ago so don’t remember it well. I do think I enjoyed it but had I listened to this first, I wouldn’t have listened to that one.

Ain’t Love Grand
Really enjoyable listen although slightly predictable. Have to get around listening to the American accents but they did fit the story. Looking forward to next in series.

Biatch
Hard to feel sympathy for Amber who for most of the story comes across as bitchy and self entitled. And I was thrilled that she was basically dealt a financial sucker punch at the end.

Loved it!
Liv Constantine is such a fantastic writer and this novella is the perfect lead in to the last Mrs parish. In fact it's made Mr want to listen to the next book again!
