Publisher's Summary

Kaiden Jericho is taking another test.

This time it's with his friends, but something is amiss.

Not everything is at it seems, and no one has found Gin Sonny...yet.

Gin must test himself against any and all who beat him. He needs a new device to track down and help destroy one of the victims who got away.

Will anyone realize that Gin hasn't left Earth? Will Kaiden understand what is different about this test he is undergoing?

This time, the "test" has real-world consequences.

You don't become the best of the best by staying alive. In the Animus, you are closer to perfection with each death you suffer.

Kaiden Jericho would rather skip the death part, thank you very much.

Includes special note from co-author Michael Anderle.

Why would you publish this?

I’m having a major beef with how incomplete these books are becoming. These last two in particular have shown that the books simply stop and don’t complete a full story. The author has fallen in literary love with his villain and has taken our focus off the main character to tell us more about a villain whom had no backstory, little care for anything and no real drivers besides revenge for not killing the mc. These short stories should’ve been a spin off and the books should focus on the mc that brought you to this point. Expanding on our mcs teammates and their backstories would’ve been a better us e of the authors time. I will strongly consider not getting the next book if it’s this short.

Good usually

I liked the book and the characters interactions. The issue is that in certain chapters they literally copied entire scenes from book 4 same wording same jokes. identical. I actually had to check if I accidentally started the fourth book. Other than that chapter it was really good

Good but too short.

I like the series still but they're getting shorter and shorter and the price doesn't change. They need to be either 33% longer or 33% cheaper.

Entertaining but short

The story line is becoming predictable. Ends with a cliffhanger And thenA challenge to overcome. All over much too quickly with little development of character. I bought 1 through 5 Put the rest in a bundle pack and I Will buy them.

Deja vu

Simply put, I am disappointed. I counted multiple times where word-for-word the exact same sentences were used as they were in prior books. including when the captain returns to the pirate station, and multiple times when Sunny was the main point of view. I find I am very disappointed in the reused sentences and story building.

if it was a case of repeating something with a slightly different way of saying it just to remind people who might have forgotten, it would have been fine. but it was Word. For. Word. things that have been said in previous books. I really like this series but I find as it's going it's quality is slowly but surely lessening.

I can only hope that in the next book the quality is picked up otherwise I fear I will be dropping the series.
