Years ago I had the honor of sharing fires and stories as she and her second husband wintered on my neighbors property in Southern Arizona. This gentle, wild and legendary woman has been an inspiration to me in my life. I had always wanted to go on a trek with her. Thank you for taking us with you on this well written and melodically narrated journey.

What an incredible book!
Well done! I was acquainted with primitive living skills as a youth, somehow I strayed from them. Perhaps I can return to some of them with this inspiration. This book spoke to my soul!

Finding tribe
All of my life, I've felt lost and disconnected. I don't know if I'll ever experience the adventures that Lynx shares but I feel more at home listening to her stories. I imagine myself going on the journey with her and feel at peace. Seeking and healing, my life has purpose, with aspirations of the journey.
