Publisher's summary

Months after the EMP crippled the country, Charlie concentrated on survival. Unfortunately, that wasn’t working out too well. Russian and Chinese soldiers were now part of the occupation, while the loss of several of her friends to state-sanctioned gangs had pushed her to the edge. It was time to fight back.

Combating a tyrannical government seemed beyond sane, but every journey starts with just one step. For Charlie and her group, that time had come. Retribution was to be meted out and with the help of a growing Resistance, reclaiming the country seemed more plausible by the day.

Retribution is about many things. It is about revenge, and it is about loyalty. But mostly, it is about hope. Because if just a few good people are willing to put it all on the line, then anything is possible. The future is what you make it, and Charlie was going to shape it, one bullet at a time.

amazing series

I love this series. only thing that would make it better is if it tied into the going home series.

It is pronounced Cob as in corn

Phrases and military knowledge, specifically directed towards the US Navy are incorrect. First, Harpoon missiles are surface to surface, no surface to air. Though they can be launched from an aircraft but the target is always surface. In the Navy, they are ship killers...thus the name. The Chef of the Boat is call Cob as in corn, not C O B as spoken in the audio book. Come on Chris, you'd think after all your boo-boos in Going Home we would have learned. Good story but for 30 bucks, you could have fixed those things.

way to go Charlie!!

Cannot wait for the next book
I love how this series answers questions regarding the DHS, the Chinese and Russian invasion. it's answering a lot of questions that we had in the going home series.

reader needs a trip to Florida.

the reader needs a trip to Florida so A. American can teach him to pronounce things like St.Augustine grass and Eglin AFB. Someone told him how to say Mont Verde which I was thankful for. overall I am looking forward to the next book.

pretty good

pretty good. A. American is becoming a very good writer who does not follow the normal outline for a book.

No such thing as Elgin military base

The story once again is a wonderful tale. I'm just not sure whether the author misspelled the name of the base in this story or the narrator botched it up. What I AM sure of is that there is NO such animal as an Elgin military base in Florida. I'm from Daytona beach, was in the Air Force and the ONLY base in Florida to come remotely close to that name is EG-lin AFB in the panhandle. The next c!osest base located to it is Pensacola NAS. I cringed when Duke mispronounced the name of the base, the name of the St. Augustine grass and such. Word to the wise, get versed in the names of the things in the story prior to speaking into the mic. I did enjoy how much of the storyline gelled with the events of the "Going Home" series with Morgan, Sarge and such. Similar type stories from a different kaleidoscope glass...

Excellent job of storytelling

looking forward to the next installment of Charlie's requiem and hoping for a continuing resolution and retelling of American bravery courage and patriotism in the face of governmental overbearing
