Big Disappointment

I've never read a YA Fiction book where the main character and hero of the story cried so much, shook so much, was hysterical so much and took so many showers to calm down.

Also, Asher the main male character acts like a caveman jerk in much of the book.

The plot seems to advance at a snail's pace of at all.

Dragging

What would have made Restraint better?

more action .

Would you be willing to try another one of Jorjeana Marie’s performances?

No she must have had a cold during the whole series.
No difference between characters.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Yeah, it did have some action in parts.

redundant

decent book reminds me of the Premonition Series by Amy Bartol- which is way better. The book could be a little better. There is a lot of repeated words and phases that are really annoying and odd in some instances.

Still never prepared for the end of this book😔

You do anything necessary to protect the ones you love. This books shows even with restraint destiny will kick in and rules will be broken. Even with reading the book first I still was not prepared for the ending. Jorjeana does an amazing job with all of the voices!

Better than the first

This book was better than the first. The narrator's voice and acting can get a bit annoying. She sounds like she's stuffes up and has a cold and she talks at normal speed at times and then there are long gaps in between words.

Good book, terrible audio

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Please please please get someone else to narrate this series. I would actually re-listen to the whole thing if someone else was reading it.

What didn’t you like about Jorjeana Marie’s performance?

The narrator is incredibly inconsistent with the characters. Like she forgets which voice to use with each? Also, not sure if it was just recorded this way but some of the lines are repeated twice.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Yes.

Hooked

So hooked on this story I am immediately purchasing the next. The narrator reads at a relaxed pace that really draws you in too. For lovers of fantasy fiction, I would definately recommend it

Loved the story

I really enjoy this series but the only thing that lets it down is the narrator :( She’s inconsistent with her ‘accents’ that seem to come and go to the point that I was left wondering which character was supposed to be speaking, she also sounds like she’s got a cold most of the time. This is such a great series and I would have given it 5 stars overall if it had another narrator.
