One of my favorite Dick Francis stories. I have read and listened to this book multiple times.

Excellent as aleays

I've listened to this before and read it but not recently. The story is excellent as is Simon Prebble's narration.I note that the preview added to this is not read by Simon Prebble, that narration sounds like AI to me, most unpleasant.

Another good jockey tail

Listen to this one if only for the photographic knowledge intertwined in the plot.
Another excellent reading performance.
Good twists at the end.

I’m a fan

Second Dick Francis novel - he does an amazing job with a story line pulling together so many parts. Prebble is just as much of a genius in his art of reading the story.
