Audio issues

Classic Dick Francis, keeps you guessing to the end. Audio quality was not great though.

Sound quality must have been fixed

Love Dick Francis and most of Felix Francis. I thought sound quality just fine. So glad I ignored reviews to the contrary. It was amazing to listen to DF book I hadn’t heard before. Good reader, good story!

Terrible audio, great story

Narrator was evidently at a zoo, a busy airport, a garden full of birds…all those background sounds were present in all the audio. Good narration and fabulous story, surprising that Audio books would allow the poor quality.

Great Plot

I really enjoyed the plot and the twists and turns. Nice read(listen), as usual, with a Dick Francis novel.

Like the story, but sound was weird

The recording sounded like it was phoned in on many different phones with terrible connections. At one point, it sounded like the narrator was recording in an office with others talking in the background. Not sure if my download was just bad or what. It wasn’t so awful that I couldn’t listen, but very distracting.

Comeback Review

Dick Francis’s story is brought to LIFE by Tony Britton. The number of characters and their participation in the threads of the novel are so intricately woven into a great tale! But wait for the twist! Thank you to audible for making this book available!

Come Back

As usual Mr. Francis creates a beautiful wave form with his European English. It causes me to slow my mind and open up to a new pool of reference. While he has past on… he continues to touch my soul. Thank for the entanglement.

STORY AMAZING, RECORDING TERRIBLE

Dick Francis books are always amazing. But the recording/playing is awful. Scratchy and too loud for the recording and sometimes sounds distorted. Previous books have been recorded from cassettes, they should use a better way to record for audiobooks.
