Publisher's Summary

Hard to keep with storyline when it's in German

They don't tell you the narration is in German. Now spent $60 for one book. Good marketing I guess bad for reviews.

German! Not English!

Nowhere did it say this audiobook would be in German. Can't say anything about the content of the book since I don't speak German.

this is in German

There is no indication that this is a German translation, so rather a waste of time for English speakers I'm afraid.

German version (not sufficiently marked)

This is only usable if for some reason I would use it to learn German. I am very dissatisfied in this product not being sufficiently marked as a German translation.

This audio book is performed in German.

What made the experience of listening to Ready Player One [German edition] the most enjoyable?

First: I purchased this book already at Audible.de, but this weird comment of my predecessor with the one star provoked me to buy it once more, which gives me a chance to rectify his/her mistake.
Second: Ready, Player and One are words nearly every German unterstands, so the title has not been altered.

This book is the most enjoyable, funny and entertaining romp I ever had the pleasure to hear although I'm not a nerd.
Get the version with Will Wheaton and you'll know what I mean. He performs equally brilliant.

What other book might you compare Ready Player One [German edition] to, and why?

Only Ready Player One with Will Wheaton. There is no comparsion to any other book whatsoever.

What about David Nathan’s performance did you like?

David Nathan is one of Germanys best narrators.
He performs uniformly outstanding whatever he reads.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I've listened to it all in one sitting, and by now to both editions more than once and will do again in the future.

Any additional comments?

My favourite audio book ever.
Folks, learn German and your plight is at an end (just a joke!).
