Mindfulness is a powerful thing

This book is excellently written and narrated. I really like how the chapters are broken up and the narrator’s voice was so kind and soothing. I’ve been searching for more mindfulness and calm in my life and this book really exceeded my expectations.

The foreword by the olympic medalist was inspiring but also a little obnoxious. Other than that, this book was super uplifting and helpful. The only chapter I didn’t care for and will not return to was the mindful eating. As someone with ocd, that nearly triggered my bout with phagophobia from years ago lol but that’s just me.

I particularly enjoyed the line “don’t suffer twice” which is def something I’m guilty of doing. I am committed to finally living in the moment and referring back to my fav chapters in this book will really aid with that.

I will def read this book again and I highly recommend it to anyone suffering from ocd, anxiety or any other mental/emotional distress. Even if you are just going through a hard time, this book is excellent for that. I hope it helps you as it did me 😁
