Publisher's Summary

“Gripping and suspenseful...Child ratchets up the suspense to new heights.” (The Denver Post)

Jack Reacher lives for the moment. Without a home. Without commitment. And with a burning desire to right wrongs - and rewrite his own agonizing past. DEA Susan Duffy is living for the future, knowing that she has made a terrible mistake by putting one of her own female agents into a death trap within a heavily guarded Maine mansion.

Staging a brilliant ruse, Reacher hurtles into the dark heart of a vast criminal enterprise. Trying to rescue an agent whose time is running out, Reacher enters a crime lord’s waterfront fortress. There he will find a world of secrecy and violence - and confront some unfinished business from his own past.

My review may seem unfair

Having read all the Jack Reacher books but obviously failing to recall every one of the titles I purchased this book the moment I saw it in the “new release” section. I suppose Audible doesn’t have a rerelease section and thought they would just put it under new. I started the book and was seriously disappointed when about one minute in I realized what this was. I should have realized when I saw the narrator was Dick Hill but sadly I didn’t. So my review says more about the listing than the book itself.

Fraudulent representation

Book is ok but it is an old book marketed as new, that was disappointing

Inexplicable re-release

This is a re-release of book 7 from over a decade ago, I didn't remember the title and Audible didn't show that it was already in my library like it would normally. I was just happy that Dick Hill had came out of retirement or so I thought. Fortunately Audible has a excellent return policy.

Wow a rerelease

A rerelease of a book just to get you to buy. Very sneaky audible!!! I guess I should have read all the reviews before but I guess I just trusted you. Shameful

Ripoff ! NOT NEW - Re-release!

Do not get taken! They are re-releasing titles, rewording the description so you waste your money or credits!

Re-release, NOT new.. but still Classic Reacher!

This title is a re-release, not a new novel, and it should have said as much in the description. The story is excellent, and the narration is also classic Dick Hill. If you don't own this title then you need to, it's classic Reacher!

I thought it was a little strange that the book had already been released as an audio book, but I went ahead and ordered it thinking there might have been something different about it... Well, the only real difference I can see is that my original purchase of this book a few years ago in no longer available now. So, I'm confused.. My original purchase is no longer available, with no explanation or refund, and then I had to purchase this re-release to maintain my complete collection. Somehow I don't think that is very fair to those of us that already paid for it, especially with no notification or explanation to why this has happened. Audible please explain and do what's right by those of us that have now purchased book 7 twice.

Again, the story and narration is awesome and a must for all Reacher fans, and if you want to complete your collection again, this re-release is necessary.

Recycled

About 1 minute into this book I realized it was an older book that is being presented as new. I love Lee Child but I do not wish to pay twice for the same book. I will be returning this.

Old book presented as a new release

Why? This is not a new release. I can read it from my library without wasting a credit.
