#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Don’t miss the hit streaming series Reacher!

“Explosive and nearly impossible to put down.”—People

Two small towns in the middle of nowhere: Hope and Despair. Between them, nothing but twelve miles of empty road. Jack Reacher can’t find a ride, so he walks. All he wants is a cup of coffee. What he gets are four hostile locals, a vagrancy charge, and an order to move on. They’re picking on the wrong guy.

Reacher is a hard man. No job, no address, no baggage. Nothing at all, except hardheaded curiosity. What are the secrets that Despair seems so desperate to hide?

With just one ally—a mysterious woman cop from Hope—and many enemies, Reacher goes up against a whole town, hunting the rich man at its core, cracking open his terrifying agenda, asking the question: Who has the edge—a man with everything to gain, or a man with nothing to lose?©2008 Lee Child; (P)2008 Random House, Inc.

Reseñas de la Crítica

“As I was reading this latest book, I was trying to understand why I like the Reacher series so much….The Jack Reacher books are all revenge fantasies. By the time the reader encounters the first fight, the reader is already mad…. Reacher doesn't go looking for trouble, but trouble usually finds him.”—San Francisco Chronicle

Any additional comments?

Several reviews of this book dwell on the uncomfortable political angles. Without spoiling anything I found it to be refreshing to have Reacher display more depth and sophistication in his world view. This book revived my enthusiasm for the series.

Reacher has evolved

I am a huge Lee Child fan and this was not his best effort. The storyline was kind of weak and Reacher just wasn't the same kind of character he has been.

very so-so

Reacher continues to amaze.

I love how Reacher helps Vaughn through the long process of dealing with her grief and the psychological wounds of war, including traumatic brain injury. That’s the reality for many people. As always, the ending was perfect!

The long past ravages of war

It was a good story good narration. The characters were interesting and captivating. Maybe not quite as good as the one before.

Good Jack Reacher

With Jack Reacher, you get a good fight every time out. There's usually someone that just has to mess with him, and they usually don't understand the hornet's nest they have kicked. That's the basis here, as usual. However, this story is a bit different in that the bad guys are doing things unethical as opposed to illegal, and they are working hand-in-hand with the US military. Again, that doesn't make ti right. Reacher just keeps digging and digging until he understands the entire mess, then he proceeds to clean up the mess. this time the mess is brought to a conclusion - then the authorities are brought in to clean up, in a somewhat confused manner.

I like the story - even though it's not as good as sore of the other Reacher stories - and it did keep my interest throughout the entire listen!! I would definitely read/listen to this book again!!

Good Story - A Bit Different Ending

I’m a big fan of the Jack Reacher series, and Nothing To Lose is by far been the least entertaining I’ve listened to. The story is kind of clunky and seems like it was either rushed or Lee Child just didn’t have his heart in it. It starts off like most Reacher stories do, but the buildup was slow and the plot wasn’t great...Dick Hill did a great job of narrating (as usual), but compared to previous stories this one was a let down. I’d recommend skipping it unless your just an avid fan, or have a ton of Audible credits saved up. Overall, I’d rank it a 6/10.

Not the best Jack Reacher book, but still enjoyable

Anti-war, anti-Christianity. I expected better from Jack Reacher and was disappointed with more left-wing dribble. Child is no Vince Flynn.

Lee Child goes Left Wing

dislike the detail the author provides. it seems our is affecting too make the story longer. no real need for it. boring.

Jack has become super-human with all his knowledge, strength. martial arts, etc. way too fske fake

Story is too drawn out and very political. Changes Reacher’s personality and what he stands for.

Redundant
