Another great Rom-Com from Amy Daws. This book had me laughing out loud at work and if you know me you know I never laugh at books. I just loved Lyndsey's inner monologue. She was clumsy and lacked self confidence which made her perfect imho. I love a character who you can relate to. Josh also started off as a jerk but he steps up the best he can when he needs to. Once you learn his story it's understandable and makes you realize that he really is a good guy. '
Loved the humor, the banter and the happily ever after, it was perfect.

The narration was perfect but thats no surprise because Teddy & Erin are THE BEST!!!

Worth so much more than a moment

We start in a hospital cafeteria and the lovely Lindsay finishing her Thesis. This is probably one of the most amazing things because writing a thesis sucks so I was instantly super happy for her. But- and I can say it’s probably because hospitals suck- she’s in a hospital. But when that dicky doctor sits down, I want to beat the crap out of him because he’s a dick. He’s actually saying the same thing I was thinking. Anyway- their “meet cute” was not cute. It was a ruined pie that broke my heart because of the pie and the fact that he was just a dick hole. DICK HOLE.

Run into each other at a bar- annnnddddd arguing. Then sexy times. Then- magic. Awesome amazing story telling. Taking a normal romance surprise baby trope and turning it into extra fun and laughs. And a touch of sadness. He is such a sad case of unintended father that he is breaking my heart.

Amy Daws has created a great story delivered with superb narration by Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon. Highly recommend this book!

Personal note- I don’t do drama. I don’t like drama. I don’t enjoy it. I hate it. With that said, it was ok. It was fine. I handled it so if you are worried about drama. It is bearable drama.

NOW THIS IS HOW TO WRITE A 5 ⭐️ OOPS PREG ROM/COM

You know when a book’s been good when it leaves you with a smile on your face.. when you’re disappointed it’s ended.. and when you would’ve loved to linger with them for just another chapter or three.. well, Lynsey and Josh’s book was one of those stories. I loved the rollercoaster journey these two characters have where a one night stand lead to complications neither one of them could’ve seen. Lynsey was an open book - however Josh’s walls were impenetrable.. his past was a tragic secret he was keeping behind a triple-locked door with a big red warning sticker saying KEEP OUT. And, unfortunately for Lynsey, he’d locked his emotions, his smile and all love in there too which leaves him a grouchy shell of the man he once was. However, over the months of living, lusting and nesting together, Lynsey’s love, understanding and patience slowly weakens Josh’s walls. Misplaced guilt was Josh’s enemy.. but a friend’s forgiveness and love gives him the strength to forgive himself and finally break down those self-imposed walls so he can finally see his path to his happily ever after.

I was truly hooked with this couple’s enemies-to-lovers emotional rollercoaster after the shocking news of an oops baby.. with the often humorous mental musings by Lynsey.. with their feisty banter and push n pulls.. and with the chemistry that sizzled and flared bringing heated passion and sexy times with it. The anticipation as their feelings mixed and grew was so addictive and the drool-worthy visuals of Dr Dick was so colorfully described and delicious. The angsty banter was quick-witted, their well-written stumbling blocks had rhythm and pace and it all climaxed into a beautiful HEA ending. And the dual POV was wonderfully brought to life by two narrators who know how to tone, time and inflect the Hell out of a feisty love story.. thank you Teddy and Erin, you made it a 5 star listen.

Worth a credit? Yes definitely - it had people I cared about, humor, loveable secondary characters, sizzles and sex, a well-flowing storyline with play, punches and passion, character growth and it had all the things that make me purr.

Dr. Love Me!!!

Amy you make me fall in love every time! I loved the chemistry between these characters. Ugh I laugh so hard the banter was perfect!
Of course these narrators are an amazing match. I absolutely love these excellent talented voices!!

Absolutely Brilliant

I loved it!! Amy Daws Nailed it, Erin Mallon Nailed it, and Teddy Hamilton Nailed it! Teddy just embraced the character of Dr. Dick and was phenomenal. I knew without a doubt i was going to fall into this audio and i did just that. I devoured this book. 100% all the feels.

Good Humor

As with the others in the series, this book has great humor and character chemistry. Although this is a standalone you will recognize the other characters from the previous Wait With Me (which is the funniest of all 3), and Next In Line. This one was just as hard to put down as the others.

An absolute must read!

After reading Wait With Me and Next In Line, I knew One Moment Please was gonna be another kick ass Amy Daws book. The characters are written with such bold, unique personalities that make them so real and like-able (especially because who doesn’t like charcuterie?!) Throughout the book, the character development and tension and story that builds between Lynsey and Dr. Dick is so well written, it was impossible to put the book down! I loved how unique their love story was and, while not traditional, you couldn’t help but fall in love with this duos love. I laughed and cried throughout their journey. Teddy and Erin did an amazing job narrating this story. They brought the characters to life and absolutely nailed the tension between Lynsey and Dr. Dick. Amazing book, definitely a must read/listen!

All The Feels!

I LOVED this book from beginning to end! I laughed out loud, cried and sighed (awwww.) Amy Daws nailed it with this one! I enjoyed Lynsey and Josh’s journey and was craving for more! This is one of those books I can listen to over and over! The narration by Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton was fantastic! I can’t recommend this book enough!

Outstanding

Having read the previous books in this series, I couldn’t wait to read One Moment Please which is Lynsey and Josh aka Dr. Dick’s story.
 
After a chance meeting, followed by a night of intense passion, Lynsey leaves Josh’s house in the middle of the night. Fast forward three months and after the date from hell, Lynsey ends up in the emergency room.

She is even more shocked to discover that she is pregnant, even worse the e.r. doctor who breaks the news to her, is the father.

I was riveted from the first chapter to the last and really didn’t want One Moment Please to end.

Amy Daws writes characters that are captivating, easy to relate too and I easily fell in love with them. It was also great to catch up on previous couples and see what is happening in their lives.
 
The writing is strong and you cannot help but become totally invested in the story Ms. Daws weaves. This was a great example of RomCom and I firmly believe
 
The chemistry between Lynsey and Josh was intense and hot. It wouldn’t be an Amy Daws novel without humour and laughter and this just added to my overall enjoyment of the book with numerous snort worthy laugh out loud moments.
 
There was nothing I didn’t like about this book; I just loved everything about the characters and the story. The narration was spot on and Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon did an outstanding job with their performances.

Fantastic Read

I absolutely loved this audiobook. Erin and Teddy are one of my favorite narrator duo combinations and this book was fantastic.

Lynsey is desperate to finish her thesis, and the only place she knows where the words flow without complaint is the Hospital cafeteria, so there she goes daily for a few months to crank out that dreaded paper, its while here that she captures the notice of a hot ER doctor, Josh Richardson. Asking around reveals that no one knows much about her, so he confronts her one day and makes a less than charming impression and chastizes her. Earning himself the nickname Dr Dick, she does her best to forget about him and goes out on the town with her best friend, but that chance encounter has her face to face with Dr Dick and she ends up sharing an Uber ride home with him. Heated banter leads to a steamy night together and she disappears in the morning hoping thats the end of their confrontation but an allergic reaction to shellfish and a diasterous twisted ankle on her tinder date end up putting her face to face with one jealous Dr Dick whose less than thrilled she ran out on him 3 months ago.... especially when the mental mathematics and her blood test results reveal that their night together had consequences.

Loved this book, highly reccommend.

Loved the book and adore the audio! Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton are their usual fabulous selves and deliver seemlessly confident, witty and warm performances which have made me a happy woman. 💖💖💖💖💖

Excellent, Funny and Worth it

Great story with all the rom com feels. narrators did an excellent job. highly recommended read and audiobook

Well, I loved this book! I read it and loved it. I have also listened to the audio book and Teddy Hamilton (what a voice!) and Erin Mallon bring Josh and Lynsey to life.
Just brilliant!

Amazing!

This is my first audiobook by Amy and it wont be the last - and Teddy Hamilton may just be my new favourite narrator 🤤

I'm definitely going to be checking out more audiobooks from Amy!

Oh my gosh! Where to do I start....!

Oh this book had me laughing out loud and almost shedding a tear (I’ve only shed a tear once in over 600+ books!) over and over

What an amazing story, it had me hooked from the very beginning, I do love Amy’s writing! Glad to hear the charcuterie boards getting a mention!

It wasn’t obvious what was going to happen which is so nice!

Erin Mallon was amazing (as usual!) if I’m being honest I wish she could have read the whole book! Her male voice is seriously the best and her Josh was spot on!

I’m not a big Teddy Hamilton fan but I know lots of people are, nothing wrong with his narration at all, just not for me.


Definitely worth a listen! Enjoy :)

Really quite erotic

Just cant imagine the excitement in finding the dear lady getting this excited with her worst enemy and going head over heels for him.

So much fun to be had between the covers……of a boo

Poking Moderate on the steamy meter, this romance has it all. All the feels, that is!

Loveable Lynsey has a delicious one night stand with surly Josh and the unimaginable happens. Condom failure. Not surprising really since it was several years old…….Now the fun begins. How are these two, opposite in personality, going to get it together for the baby they created?

Full of fun, these characters will knock your funny-bone AND pull at your heartstrings.

Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton do a sterling job in the narration of this book - two of my favourites and they never disappoint! IMHO - a good choice for the narration of this book.

Highly recommended for lovers of romance who need an HEA after a bit of a roller coaster ride.
