Yuki's been reborn in another world as a demon lord—and his new life is going swimmingly! He continues strengthening his dungeon with his makeshift family of monster girls until, one day, a heroine arrives on their doorstep to take down the demon lord. Or, at least, that's what she says before breaking into tears because the traps are too scary! Curious and unable to resist lending a helping hand, Yuki heads out to welcome the hapless heroine.

The group then decides to take a trip to a human settlement with their new friend. They all have a blast as they go around shopping, eating, and sightseeing, but the fun comes to an abrupt halt when a ghost appears out of nowhere and starts attacking the townspeople one after another. Can the demon lord who just wants to live the good life pass judgment on this new enemy?!

The book is great. performance... Ehhh...

The story is great. The only real issue I have is how the narrator underwhelms in certain areas. For example, back in Volume 1, Yuki is shouting in fury and unleashing his killing intent. A bunch of humans fall dead or get knocked out by the force. I pictured his voice actually sounding loud, animated, and intense, the kind of scene where the cry shatters all the surrounding windows in a shockwave centered on him. The narrator made that scene sound like Yuki was mildly annoyed rather than infuriated.

This volume follows suit. There are times when the characters would have been louder, cheering, and crying out, but the narrative makes it sound like they are just slightly more animated than normal. The secret organization planning to destroy Alfiro cry in a sense of unified dedication to their goal even at the risk of their own demise. I would imagine that commanding more than just a lackluster, "yeah, we pledge allegiance to the flag..." like a grade school saying the pledge of allegiance in monotone.

very entertaining

Fun story pretty goofy my only complaint is it’s taking so long for the rest of the series to come out.
