Some Practical Advice

Some good stories of the brain’s ability to recover and continue to thrive. Not a biohacking book but does offer sound advice from a well trained doctor. The future is bright for the brain but you need to work and feed it good energy and exercise

Interesting and thoughtful with some practical tips

Ever since a very good friend and neighbor died at a much to early age from Alzheimer’s, I’ve been doing a lot of research and reading on how to best prevent such a horrifically slow and debilitating disease. While this book is not specifically about the prevention of Alzheimer’s, its content is about the best understood ways of keeping the brain the healthiest it can be, and backed by scientific evidence. I particularly liked the sections in each chapter such as Neuro Gym, which provide the practical tips that one can take to support the chapter’s focus, and Neuro Busted that proves common myths wrong. The narration was also excellent, with a voice that was upbeat in a good way (not overly so) and had a good cadence. I will definitely be implementing the practical tips that I don’t already practice into my lifestyle.

Good but probably highly edited

Good book, nice listen, informative. However, the flow was choppy and I feel that much of what Dr. Jandial wanted to say was probably edited out to keep the book short.

I'm no brain surgeon but I loved this book

I listen to a ton of books like this and but this one stands out. So credible because the author is an actual brain surgeon but he writes the book so it is understandable and relatable to anyone. I hope to relisten at some point.

Great and easy to listen to

A lot of knowledge that is easy to comprehend for the average layman.

I like how the author connects his surgery cases to actual tidbits for everyday life.
