Publisher's Summary

Meg Langslow knew the fan convention for her actor-boyfriend's hit television series was going to be the ultimate in weird. But she came along because she figured Michael could use an occasional dose of sanity, and because it was an inspired place to sell her hand-crafted weapons. And so far, she was dealing pretty well with the costumed fans camped outside, the batch of escaped parrots and monkeys frolicking throughout the hotel, and the minefield of egos lurking behind the show's success.

But soon after Meg goes head-to-head with egomaniacal series star Tamerlaine Wynncliffe-Jones, the "Queen B" turns up brutally murdered. Now, with Michael in the running as prime suspect, Meg will go up against an all-star cast of not-even-innocent parties, hidden identities, and buried motives. And she'll cross swords with a deviously obsessed murderer determined to write her out of this picture for good.

I love this series

I have read the complete Meg Langlow series and am disaapointed that Audible is not carrying all of the books in the series. In fact, the two books carried by Audible are probably my two least favorite in the series. Having said that, they are still excellent "reads". After reading the paperbacks first, I usually have a hard time adjusting to the voices of the narrator. However, Bernadette Dunne did an excellent job. The story takes place at a science fiction convention, along with live parrots, monkeys and tigers - oh my! Imagine a diva actress, fans dressed in costume, an evil little dog, a murder and chaos of the most hilarious nature. If you like to laugh out loud, I recommend this book!

Fun little story. Good Quirky Characters. The mystery wasn't bad and there was a twist at the end.

Quirky Fun

Parrots, Monkeys, Murder - Oh My! I completely enjoyed this novel. The dialogue is fun and the characters are quirky and enjoyable. This is definitely a 'repeater'. The cast of suspects are so nicely defined, I can picture each of them beautifully. The 'sane' Meg Langslow is, as always, surrounded by such unique individuals that each turn of the 'page' is a joy. Even the critter characters contribute to the fun - or should I say insanity. The culprit is evident - but then again - maybe it's....or even.... listen and see!

Great for a chuckle

This book was a gift, so not one I would have necessarily chosen to listen to. Both the author and narrator provided a cute, easy listen. I would recommend this book to anyone liking amusing mysteries.

Great humor with mystery

If you like a who done it with lots of humor try one of Donna Andrew's books. I fell in love with her mystery series &with each character she adds she adds more humor. The stories are on the light side of mysteries not real gore or espionage but always entertaining and full of laughs. This one is the 2nd book I listened to& it doesn't disappoint in any way. not quite as good as the others in the series

For some reason this book didn't grab my interest as quickly and thoroughly as the other books in the series. I've listened to it a couple of times just in case I was in an off mood the first time, and still have the same opinion. Its good, just not great.

Fun family oriented series for animal lovers

Perfect mystery series for animal lovers.

The Quirky Characters absolutely make this series.

Meg Langslow accompanies her boyfriend Michael to a fan convention. She sets up a booth with the intention of selling some of her blacksmith trade items such as swords.

However her attention will soon have to be focused on a murder that occurs when a very unpopular member of the cast meets an untimely end. - Megan gets some interesting clues from a number of African Grey parrots, and some support from a tiger and even some monkeys ...

Very Enjoyable Light Entertainment

What made the experience of listening to We'll Always Have Parrots the most enjoyable?

Loved the narrator! Well worth the listen! Story is not the strongest, but characters were interesting.
