Publisher's Summary

Every morning at the same hour on the golf course, Jack Hartington hears mysterious cries for help coming from a cottage. He speaks to the resident and learns that she has unsettling dreams of a woman with a blue Chinese vase. Believing that the cries for help are from the late Mrs. Turner, the former resident of the cottage, Jack hires a psychic investigator to spend a night in the house, a night which proves to have startling results.

Quirky plot, it's not one of Christie's best

This isn't really a classic Agatha Christie who done-it, it's more like a sketch full of ghost stories and con-men.

Dynamic Duo

Beautiful combo of Christie and Lee, definitely going to listen again. His voice is a wonderful choice for this story.

Standard Agatha Christie Story

Is there anything you would change about this book?

No. I enjoyed it although the Christie stories without her main detectives are not my favorites.

Would you be willing to try another book from Agatha Christie? Why or why not?

Agatha Christie is one of my favorite authors. I have listened to many of her books and will continue to do so. It is my comfort food listen.

What three words best describe Christopher Lee’s voice?

Not very versatile

Could you see The Mystery of the Blue Jar being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

It could be turned into a TV episode with British actors.

Any additional comments?

The story feels dated but it is a quick listen. It is a mystery not a murder mystery. The lead chaRacter is standard Christie but pleasant enough. Recommended for diehard Christie fans.
