Publisher's Summary

Martha "Marty" Nickerson, a Cape Cod district attorney turned defense lawyer, must defend a man who shot his son's presumed killer on live television. The only possible defense is insanity, but the grieving father refuses to say he was crazy when he pulled the trigger. In a seemingly unrelated case, a battered woman is held for the murder of her spouse, and all evidence points to her as the murderess. Now with two seemingly unwinnable murder cases on her slate, a losing verdict may be the least of her worries as Marty's harrowing hunt for the truth leads to shocking revelations and possible links that may put her in the sight line of a vengeful and all too capable killer.

Can't rave enough about this series. Come on, Rose... we need a few dozen more, please?
And Bernadette Dunne could read a shopping list and make it awesome. "Audible 20 Review Sweepstakes"

It is a terrible book and poorly read!!

This book starts out slow and gets slower and with one of the worst Massachusetts accents ever. I keep suggesting, if you cannot really do a Massachusetts accent, just read in English with No accent. Bad accent -- too distracting. I keep thinking if this book got published...I need to get going on my mystery book!
