Enjoyable to listen to

Good way to pass the time in traffic. The stories were easy to get into. Nice, fairly light escapes, good to take one's mind away from the work day. The narration was great, especially the first narrator, Jamie Renell. He had a warm tone, and a great delivery.

Below Par

I normally enjoy James Patterson books and short stories very much. These were very disappointing. The plots were quite predictable and" the guilty parties "easily discernible at the beginning of each story.

Three excellent stories

I often don't have time to get into and finish entire books. This series was three extremely suspenseful books that were short enough to get into and enjoy with my wife in the time we traveled on holiday.

This is a Three Short Stories Novel

I thought this was a complete novel about a family lawyer. Was very disappointed to learn the book had 3 short stories. I was not interested in the other 2 stories. Can I exchange this book for another that is a complete novel?

Started out well but then...

So this isn’t one complete story but rather 3 separate unconnected short stories. The first one was good, I kept switching who I thought did what so the twist was decent. The second one was ok but I can’t think of what genre it would be as the killer and motive was revealed in the first chapter. Now the 3rd is where it totally messed up. I don’t know if it’s the narrator or uninteresting plot line that made me just give up. I couldn’t keep listening and that is a very rare action on my part. I “listen” to over 200 books a year, “read” another 30+ a year and write at least one or two of my own little ones for my grandsons each year. My tastes run from the classics, to science fiction, horror/murder mysteries, spy thrillers, apocalyptic and zombie thrillers, cozy English mysteries, YA, and true military books...basically everything other than romance, westerns, and biographies (with an exception here or there) so as you can see I’m not picky nor a snob and usually find some redeeming quality in every book but this one, I actually felt would be a waste of my time to finish. I can’t in good conscience suggest this book unless you’re okay with paying for 2/3rds of a moderately ok book.

Angry Story Reader

The Narrator sounded Angry throughout the stories; that reduced my enjoyment of the listening experience.

Good listen

I have always been a fan of James Patterson and appreciative of his support of other authors. The stories in the book were interesting and the pace and narrative was great. Once I started listening I could not stop. Each book had endings I did not see coming.
