Very Enjoyable Series

I'm still loving this series. They're such fun and cute cozy mysteries. Bowen has done a wonderful job of growing the characters through each book and building on the relationships. Of course, I wish the relationship between Georgie and Darcy would move just wee bit faster :) Kellgren also does an excellent job on the narration.

It's always the sexual tension with Darcy and the way real life events and people fit into the story

yes, but did not.

Fluffy, fun, frivolous

If you’ve listened to books by Rhys Bowen before, how does this one compare?

I have enjoyed the whole series except the Queenie character (maid). Really, the woman is as stupid as a ton of bricks and so Georgiana must be too, to keep her.

Which character – as performed by Katherine Kellgren – was your favorite?

Georgiana herself, star of her own life, and also Belinda - love that breathy little voice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No extremes...good listening for when you don't want to be challenged or intrigued too deeply.

Any additional comments?

I listen to this kind of book in between longer, darker or deeper historical and crime novels. It's a great balance! I have to admit that I have fallen asleep to most of these books, but because I intended to, not because they were boring!

Adore this series

It is silly and the mysteries are easily solved but who cares. The characters are fabulous, the narration is spot on and the stories are fun. I have listened to the whole series and will definitely listen to all future ones. It is nice break, light and fun.

Scottish Brogue ?

What did you love best about Royal Flush?

Ms Kellgren needs to work on her scottish brogue: all her Celtic characters sound like they come for County Cork. Other than that (which I found irritating), the book moves along very well. Listening to this series is fundamental fun!

Melinda, such a party girl !

I could listen on one sitting but can't sit that long.

I just love the reader.

Would you consider the audio edition of Royal Flush to be better than the print version?

I do consider the audio version better because you hear all the great accents and infections.

So worth going through this series! The stories are full of interesting characters and always has a lot of humor mixed w/some mystery. Katherine Kellgren is a talented narrator w/the skill to imitate numerous cheeky characters who cross Georgie’s path. Love!

Another Great Read!

I love how the author weaves a good tale with a bit of history. Makes for a wonderfully entertaining story. The narration is phenomenal! I can't believe one person does all those voices. Bravo!

More surprises and adventures along the way. Handsome Darcy and grandad are still in the picture. Enjoyable throughout.
