The most magnificent book ever!!!

The narration is brilliant and every time it’s over I’m in tears……❤️. You have to listen to this book at least three or four times because there’s so much humor in it that you don’t catch with the first go round of the second go round or the third ground round… get out your knitting and enjoy!!

Auntie Mame amazing!👏👏👏

Picked up right where the movie with Rosalin Russel ended. I never knew this was a book. As a kid I watched Auntie Mame thinking how wonderful it would have been to have an Auntie like that. Now this part 2 was just as amazing. loved it as much as I loved dreaming of my very own Auntie Mame.

A classic!

If you don’t know Patrick Dennis and his famous Aunt Mame, there’s a HUGE empty hole in your life. You’re missing out on a hilarious and insightful romp with a character who can be as knowing as a seer or maddeningly oblivious, depending upon her intentions.
Mame is tolerant of almost everyone. Everyone, that is, except the deliberately shallow, the hypocritical and/or the bigots of the world.
If you haven’t read Auntie Mame or it’s sequel, Around the World with Auntie Mame, you need to do that before you die. She will entertain you as no other, I promise.
Every book Patrick Dennis wrote is top notch and deserves to be in Audible’s collection. And the narrator, Christopher Lane, is terrific, by the way.
You’ll have fun.

Absolutely one of my favorites ever! Angie Mame’s adventures are the best…highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

Hilarious!

Hilarious, campy fun. The narrator’s voice (17yo Patrick Dennis) is dry, irreverent and biting. The scrapes he gets in with Auntie Mame are over the top and fun to follow. What really makes this a hit is the excellent voice acting of Christopher Lane.

As Madcap & Crazy as Mame

A rollicking tale of an "around the world" trip with crazy Mame. I had no idea there was a second book until I saw this while searching for the original. I'd put it a touch below the original, but still a great listen featuring a good solid reader.

Some of the language is very much of the time -- don't let it stop you. Throughout any "today slurs" are used lightly, apply to all groups, and are used primarily to point out exactly how stupid such divisions are. So open your minds, relax, and play to laugh out loud at the antics.

My husband and I listened to this book together and didn’t want it to end. The narrator is masterful!
Even better than the first book “ Auntie Mame.”

Mame fans should love this fix

A good sequel for those who enjoyed the first book (or the film version). Some of their adventures I found a bit flat (Biarritz), and others dark (Venice), but overall the story worked fine for me; although, the first couple of chapters in Paris and London were stronger, with the rest seeming more . . . slapstick or formulaic.

Narrator manages solid voices for Patrick and Mame, as well as the many secondary characters.

Wonderful sequel to a masterpiece

Anyone who loved the Rosalind Russell film, you will not be disappointed. For anyone else with a pulse: see the movie, then spend a credit on this sequel. The narration is expertly provided by Christopher Lane, who nails Rosalind Russell’s unique delivery of Mame Dennis. Enjoy!
