Publisher's Summary

Agatha Christie's most famous murder mystery, read by the inimitable Dan Stevens.

Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of the year, but by the morning it is one passenger fewer. An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed a dozen times, his door locked from the inside.

Isolated and with a killer in their midst, detective Hercule Poirot must identify the murderer - in case he or she decides to strike again.

Critic Reviews

"Need it be said - the little grey cells solve once more the seemingly insoluble. Mrs Christie makes an improbable tale very real, and keeps her readers enthralled and guessing to the end." (Times Literary Supplement)
"A brilliantly ingenious story." (Dorothy L. Sayers, Daily Herald)
"Ingenuity at its height… the idea is utterly novel, the setting a model of realism, and the characters a versatile, attractive crew." (Woman's Journal)
"A piece of classic workmanship... exquisite and wholly satisfying." (News Chronicle)

One of AC's best w the best narrator

There isn't anything I can say abt this celebrated novel that hasn't already been said. So I will concentrate on the narrator. Dan Stevens is fantastic. It sounded like a full cast of multiple ppl instead of one narrator. absolutely worth every penny.

Great fun as my first Agatha Christie read

My very first Agatha Christie. Didn't know what to expect! Definitely not your standard "who done it". Great story and presentation of the characters.

Voice acting by Dan Stevens was great! For an Englishman he spent a lot of time doing French and American accents. Really enjoyed it :)

Slow, stale and unexpected

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Not really, this one had nothing I liked about And Then There Where None.

Would you ever listen to anything by Agatha Christie again?

No, I think I found my favorite the first time and this wasnt even close to as good.

Which character – as performed by Dan Stevens – was your favourite?

The Italian man was a blast

Any additional comments?

Just slow and revolving around the same tiny area, making it super stale and slow. Having 2/3 of the book in one room, interviewing the passengers I feel like was a bad choice

Thoroughly enjoyed

Dan Stevens is the best narrator I have come across in Audible. He has an array of voices up his acting sleeve, giving each character a unique one that if you are distracted, you can easily return to the story. So engaging. Grab this Audiobook for Murder on the Oriental Express!
