Publisher's Summary

Detective Inspector Napoleon Bonaparte arrives in the little town of Mitford, New South Wales, to find that five babies have been abducted and a murder committed. The half-aborigine sleuth calls in policewoman Alice McGorr to help him, and one of the most important clues they find is a cave drawing depicting an aboriginal legend. Bony, as unorthodox and cunning as ever, reenacts the legend in order to solve the mystery.

Bony demonstrates his tracking ability in a urban environment.

Not up to the usual standard of this series

Storyline is very convoluted and shows little understanding of the psychology of characters that usually grace Upfield's novels. Of all his novels I would put this one at the bottom of the list.

A Bony novel to keep you guessing!

Murder Must Wait is original, suspenseful and 100% classic Bony. I couldn't stop listening. The talented and well-suited narrating of Peter Hosking makes these audio books what they are and will have you coming back until you've listened to them all!

Reader bothers me.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The story is good, as Arthur Upfield's stories invariably are, but, this reader can kill a good story. Please find someone who would do justice to Upfield.

What three words best describe Peter Hosking’s voice?

Boring boring boring.
