Read it over and over

an amazing book so good in fact that I bought the hard copy to have in my library definitely worth the read.

great sequel

There were some very predictable events in the book, but I enjoyed the story. The acting was pretty good and I could recognize characters by their voice which is amazing for an audio book.

Humanity, with a little help

Freedom by Daniel Suarez narrated by Jeff Gurner is the perfect end of the the Daemon story. It has everything excitement, action, tech, gaming, detectives, mystery, greed, love, altruism, horror, honor, and humanity.

Human, being totally stubborn & set in their ways, definitely need a push to evolve. Sadly it will probably take a sever crisis for this to occur, Daemon/Forbin Project type event (computer), a world war, being attacked by aliens, environmental disaster, or other crisis. BUT... humans can surprise you so maybe just a growing awareness of the environment and tolerance might be the key.

Well worth the credits.

Second time through was even better! Got me thinking all about our digital future and where the global economy could go. Stupendous story, and a great ending to boot!

Freedom (TM) is the conclusion to Daemon. The premise is that the creator of popular on-line games has died and this triggers a computer program to carry out his wishes. And the game creator was really ticked off.

An important theme in both books is that the rich and the powerful manipulate others to get what they want; mo money, mo power and often mo of both. There is a lot of action and plot twists. But, in the end, the baddies get paid back for their evil ways.

A great follow up to Daemon

This book takes the previous one and turns it into something completely new. Whereas the first book was a sci-fi thriller, this is more of a sci-fi philosophical, and that's great.

the daemon followed by freedom were a great depiction of what could be. really a great story. and yes, ultimately possible. we've got a ways to go with ai but it possible.

One of my top 10 favorites

Such a fantastic story, which combines sci-fi with tech and psychology. Lots of fun to listen to, and definitely one of my top 10 favorite books.
