Not impressed by this one

I have enjoyed almost all the Coben books I've read. I'm not a fan of the Myron Bolitar series, so I'm excited when I find a book that is an independent work (ie, not part of that series). The premise of the book sounded interesting, so I decided to buy it. Without giving anything away, I'll just say that the ending was contrived and confusing. The characters did not have a lot of depth. I got the feeling that the author started the book with good intentions but lost interest and simply slapped an ending on...one that didn't make any sense with the preceeding arc of the story; at least to my mind. Coben has written a lot of good books. Unfortunately this isn't one of them.

Excellent!

Never could have guessed the ending. Very well written and very well told. We will come back for more.
