What an amazing ending to this third book!! I selfishly would die for more books to follow Olivia and her loved ones and would be even more excited for a tv series following the 3 books!!!!

Please get out of Decatur, GA. Read on tne beach at least!!!! I am a water baby from tne west coast, military, but also from a family of "heritege". Just not on the island. This was a wonderful book!!

I enjoyed the historical facts and the clarity of the reader. The story line was easy to follow and understand.

Impressive narration and plot!

The entire series was enthralling! The characters were superb and the narrator made it feel as if each character was voiced by a different person. Superb!

A subtle history lesson

Truly enjoyed taking this journey with Olivia as really begins to love herself and in so doing finds her “home”. Especially appreciated while all three of the books in this series have provided the historical information about these African -American beach communities ( of which I was personally ignorant) this is my favorite because of inclusion of the Anna/ Fredrick Douglas story in a way that was natural and interesting.
