Opposites Attract!

Mr. Fixer Upper by Lucy Score pulled me in immediately with its hot chemistry. I found the premise of the book to be just what I wanted. I strongly believe that opposites do attract, and the couple in this romance fit the mark. The added humor was a plus for me too. Natalie Duke was amazing bringing the characters to life with her distinguishable voices. I could envision so much. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will most definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

This one was a bit of a slow starter for me, but WOW did it get hook me. The shower. The caretaking. And THE ENDING. This is my current favorite fictional proposal. Two thumbs up and a toolbelt salute to Gannon King, TV carpenter heartthrob.

Absolutely loved this feel good romcom. It was so easy to read and pacing was perfect. Just what I needed to read after a really heavy deep book. I loved the storyline of reality TV and the touch on woman’s pay and treatment in Television. It was tastefully brought to light. The spice 🤤 was so good.

Natalie Duke did an outstanding job bringing Gannon and Paige’s story to life! Lucy Score is a new author for me but I will be reading more of her. I love the banter between Gannon and Paige, the self assurance of Gannon. This book has all the feels!

I love this book so much I couldn’t put it down. Recommend this book if you have a thing for love stories.

Powerful Female!

This is by far a 4.5. I adored this entire book. I was so close to giving it a 5 star review. When it comes to portraying a true feminist bad ass she for sure gets 9 stars. Paige was one of my all time favorite heroines. She is the true narration of what it is like to be a woman in the world today. She is fighting for every position she gets, doing it better and more efficiently, but still not getting her due like her lesser male counterparts. But she plays the game well, she plans and makes it work for her. I promise you this is a romance and it is even super hot. She resists getting involved with the Hero due to not wanting their relationship to effect her job. She works as an assistant producer on a Home improvement show and he is one of the main stars. She is hilarious and awkward as well as strong in one package. Our Hero cannot resist that about her and makes it his point to have her. He waits for her till we finally get our happily ending. I love this book. I loved getting to see this amazing female character not feeling pressured by the man to choose the relationship over her dreams and letting her be her, but waiting patiently to make it work for her. Lucy Score can never go wrong in my book.

Excellent premise for a storyline!

The storyline of working on a reality home improvement show is extremely enjoyable for anyone who likes to watch HGTV. Most of the book takes place on the set of the show, with filming, reveals and relationships between cast and crew thoroughly explored. This is not as humorous as other books I’ve read by Lucy Score, but I really liked the story and Gannon’s commitment to Paige. Paige’s reluctance to be in a relationship is a bit weak, especially when she’s so smitten and he’s so devoted, but it works out. The narration is well read with excellent acting and expression, but not much differentiation of voices, especially men’s. Highly recommend for fans of romance and home improvement shows.

Loved it!!

I’ve had this in my library for a while and I should’ve listened sooner! This was such a cute story!! Natalie Duke killed the narration. I’ve loved her in any characters she’s done in Lucy’s books!
I loved everything about this book. I loved the determination of the main male character. He was determined and wasn’t giving up!! He knew what he wanted and if he needed to be sort of patient he was going to do it in order to win the girl!

This was a very cute store line more to the point then anything but had just the right amount of smut and cute love story

Can’t get enough!!

So I started listening one book from this author and then it turned into two and this is my third. Now I’m lookong for more and there aren’t any on audible!! I’m panicking and praying more get released soon or I’ll have to go back to reading. I love that her heroines aren’t pushovers and the men are alpha!! My new favorite author. ❤️
