What a fun and steamy fake relationship romance! Theo Barnes, and Max (Maxine) Simon are so great together, challenging each other and that sets their chemistry on fire! Theo is a successful businessman and Max is a talented photographer. When Theo needs a date, Max is the first person he thinks of because she is smart, sassy, and beautiful. Max isn't sure at first, but the money he offers will allow her to advance her photography. As they get to know each other, they begin to care for each other and their fiery attraction is hard to ignore. But what happens when things go too far? Could they lose everything they've worked so hard for? This charming, and sizzling romance was so much fun to listen to! I really fell for both Max and Theo. They were so supportive and protective of each other, helping them be their best. I loved their little quirks, their fun banter, and their chemistry was off the charts!
Lexi Evans, and Logan Anare gave voice to both Max and Theo so beautifully. They really nailed these characters, helping me to see them so clearly. They helped make this heartfelt, sweet & steamy romance even more entertaining!

Theo and Max make such a great couple, I enjoyed the push and pull between them as they struggled to come to terms with their real feelings surrounding their fake relationship. I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. Both characters had strong personalities. It was a great story to listen too.

A welcome mix up

The narrators did a great performance. I love Max and Theo's story. Theo is a very cocky playboy and Max is a woman trying to find her place in life. These two start out as a mix up and soon what is a fake relationship becomes very real. The chemistry between these two is so hot. All the characters are relatable and the story, even with sensitive subjects, is easy to follow and has great depth and heart.

Great plot

I found this was a great story.
There’s just enough drama in this plot to make it interesting.
The main character has an interesting relationship.
The narrator has done a great job of bringing the book alive.

Really enjoyed it!

I can’t resist the fake relationship trope. And I’m really glad I listened to this audiobook. It’s in duet narration and I liked both narrators, Lexi Evans and Logan Anare.

Sam and Theo are faking it really well, even they start to believe it! I really enjoyed their story and the ending. Great secondary characters too.

A Sizzling Beginning Captured with a Lie

Mrs. North has done it once again in this explosive and swoon worthy tale that sweeps you like the ocean current, You have your cocky, controlling business owner and a fiercely independent photographer with big goals, and a good heart that is forced into family drama. Bring in our trope of a fake relationship and you have the set-up!

I’ll admit I was a tad afraid at the first few pages when Theo finds Max sleeping on his yacht, it reminded me of Noah finding Maddie in his hotel room from the second book, but it was all good.

I was pulled in right away with the characters dynamics, from the instant, quirky, and tingly chemistry of Max and Theo to the elites Ford and Pam. Man, they were something!

All the characters were written well, Theo’s mom
Is so my favorite! Over the top and knows what she wants. But she’s light in energy. Honestly, she is like cotton candy; colorful and sweet and you can’t get enough!
Rave (radical name) was an antsy teen boy with a tender soul that Makes all the mother hens want to protect him. The author did an excellent job crafting compelling characters that you felt were your friends,
I honestly couldn’t stand the engagement shower DJ though. Goodness! I wanted to slap him with a rubber chicken. But he is only in two chapters and did his job. Ha.

This story took some turns I was not anticipating and dealt with tough issues that I know people can relate to, another brilliant skill set this author has and you don’t want to miss on those moments.

I recall Theo having a cameo in Mr, Jerk and I rolled my eyes then, thinking, “Gah, this new lead is going to be the most annoying of them all..,” but once you get through Theo’s business minded nature she had to get what he once attitude, I think out of the three men so far in this series…he is the nicest, there! I said it! Gasp!

Him being a momma’s boy and loving it too! Chef’s kiss. Their rapport is perfection,

Max is a beautiful, capable, spunky creative that is such an amazing daughter and big sister.

And yes. Plenty of creative steam with these two. Might need to take a relaxing rinse with an eight shower head nozzle to cool.,,wait..,

And we have to brag about the star narrators; Lexi Evans and Logan Anare. This powerhouse duo have been the voices for the other two books and they still make these characters sound passionate, real, and fresh, their own through your earbuds, which is hard to do with similar aged and genre characters, Their talent and love for this book is beyond exceptional and profound no matter which characters they play and this work is a shining example of that. I could picture everything they performed so vividly in my mind. What a treat and once you listen to them here, you’ll see why they are my favorite narrators.

I absolutely cannot wait for more from this sensational series! But for now, I guess I’ll loyally wait by the pool for the next installment…with my heels on.

I Enjoyed It

I enjoyed this book when I read it a few months ago and really enjoyed it (original ebook review below), so I was looking forward to listening to it on audio. I liked Lexi for Max. I loved her voice for the trophy wife, Pam. That was fun. I liked Logan's voice, but it wasn't what I expected for Theo. I don't know, it sounded a little too laid-back to me and took a little getting used to. I also liked that Lexi narrated all the female voices and Logan the males regardless of which character's chapter it was- which I've only rarely encountered in dual narration.

Overall: 4 stars
Performance: 4 stars
Story: 4 stars

Ebook Review 7/31/23-

'He grinned at me. “It’s crazy to me that you don’t seem to realize that you always look incredible."'

I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun fake relationship billionaire romance. Good world building. I liked the characters and it all felt believable and relatable (in a way, because I don't know any billionaires lol). I've read sheikh romances by Leslie North, and military romances, but this is my first billionaire, non-royalty romance by this author, so I was looking forward to it. And I wasn't disappointed. 4 stars.

Amazing Story

I love this series! This is another amazing book. Love the characters and storyline. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn't put it down. I enjoyed the banter between Max and Theo. Highly recommend reading this.

Good fake dating turns into more in this story. Theo and Max face the normal tribulations and against the odds make things work. There was a lot of internal monolog at parts but once I got past that I really enjoyed this story
