Great book - Stella nails it again

Stella bloom is by far my most favorite female narrator. I’m also a huge fan of Toni Alep so this book was a win-win for me

My Thoughts on Misadventures with a Manny

Misadventures with a Manny is a fantastic read. It's emotional and funny and so well written. I loved Lincoln and Vera. He's completely swoon worthy and she was so strong and honestly just a character I can really connect with. I think that's a huge sign of what a truly gifted writer Toni Aleo is. I haven't experienced what leading lady Vera had personally. But the insecurities and doubts about parenting, the worries about whether you're enough? I can relate to those kind of thoughts very well. Lincoln is the kind of guy you hope to find when you have those thoughts. He was so supportive and caring. Being great with kids was a huge bonus. Who doesn't love a man who loves and is great with kids?

Overall this book was such a wonderful reading experience. I am really enjoying the Misadventure series, and I am extremely interested in checking out more Toni Aleo books.

The narration on this was perfection. I will absolutely be looking for more from these narrators in future.

From beginning to end - I LOVED this book.

Almost immediately, this book gave me One Last Time (Corinne Michaels) vibes and since that still remains one of my favorite books of the year, I was all in! I loved Vera and her dedication to her children, I hated her rat bastard of an ex, and Lincoln was so unbelievably swoon worthy. I even adored Vera's sons, her sister, and her brother-in-law/Lincoln's best friend. The chemistry between Vera and Lincoln was incredible and her history with her ex made her such a sympathetic character - it made it really easy to cheer her on. The obstacles to HEA were real and I enjoyed the tension that they provided (though I did feel like they came to a head and were resolved rather swiftly). I also wasn't expecting Misadventures with a Manny to be the slow burn that it was, but when we finally get to the couples first hookup, it was so worth the wait! I've thoroughly enjoyed both of Toni Aleo's contributions to the Misadventures series so far and I fully plan to read her Assassins series soon! 5 out of 5 wine glasses.

A Must Read

Great characters, great writing, and lots of emotions that hit your heart. I highly recommend you read this wonderful book. This is the first book I have read by Toni; but it definitely won’t be my last.

Kinda boring

The heroine was pretty selfish and a beast at times. The hero deserved more, I thought. the premise of the story is good, but it dragged on and on.

Love after all

Thank you Toni Aleo, I love this book. I was so happy with the outcome. After all the mom went through she certainly deserved a break and a helping hand along with meeting someone who could bring her watch she needed. Excellent book.

Pure Romance

I love the realness of this, the communication issues, the difference in perception between men and women, the fear of Heartbreake. it's just such a realistic romance, this happens. I love the relationship between him and the kids, the chivalry and respect for her he had. I cried, I laughed and I stayed in the mood during the whole read. the suspense/tension was the best part. when it finally happened it had the mood killer directly after. it was an emotional Rollercoaster of brilliant writing.

Happy - Sad

This made me cry a few times and positively fume at others. The Ex-husband is a real piece of work and the ugliness that is divorce is heart wrenchingly depicted with in these pages. This was well written and preformed my only complaint was the speed. This clipped right along way to fast. I felt the budding romance moved to quickly and was not given enough little building moments. Other than wanting more of a slow build and more details this was a great story.

Loved it

This was an entertaining romantic story that ticked a all the boxes for me. Well written, the narration was good and the narrators Brin Pallino and Stella Bloom easy to listen to. From the first chapter I was hooked on the story that was told. The characters were easy to relate to and I really liked them. The chemistry between them was intense and I found myself laughing out loud on a number of occasions with the witty banter and humour. The secondary characters were just as entertaining and I hope to see more of them at a future date. This book is a little gem that I have no trouble recommending. The narrators certainly did justice to the characters and the wonderful story that the author created.

Toni Aleo hit it out of the park again. I put off listening to this one as I love her hockey series! I loved this one just as much, Toni is such a great writer!!! Narration was awesome too!
