Great Story

I didn’t realize that this was the second book to Misadventures with a Time Traveler; would have listened to this book first. I love love love Will’s accent and humor; he makes me laugh in many of the books he narrates. Vivianna also did an excellent job with narration. The storyline was refreshingly unique and interesting. It is wise to listen to the Misadventures with a Time Traveler first since there is an overlap with characters. Must listen to more Misadventure books!

Great Read

Misadventures with a Duke was a great read by Angel Payne. Raegan Tavish is the rising star of fashion stylists. She is dealing with both a bad break up and a creative slump. She finds herself apartment sitting for friends that are in love. Things get complicated when Bastien De Leon, steps out of the giant wardrobe in his brother’s master bedroom. The cabinet isn’t a normal piece of furniture, it’s a time travel device. Bastien finds himself over two hundred years forward. Raegan wants to be able to Bastien back in the time that he belongs in. But she didn’t expect this duke to change her forever. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by the author.

It’s her inner Eeyore vs her inner Tigger

I enjoyed this one better than book 1 (Misadventures with a Time Traveler) for two reasons.

First, I liked FMC Reagan, who was sweet and precocious, even if her “inner Eeyore” found her moping about her lukewarm fashion career and her cold sex life.

Second, the fish out of water comedy was stronger here as Bastien’s introduction to modern day NY hits every pothole on the way to his HEA. I especially loved Drew’s run ins with “Detective Dick” and would totally be down for the third musketeer (muskatress?) to get a book for her HEA.
