The Plot Twist!!!

First, I LOVED this book! I can’t wait for the next. But I can’t stand the voice for Beau. I know the narrator did it to differentiate between the two, but I just didn’t like it haha. Other than that it was amazing! 4.5 Stars for me!

OK this book has me shook! What did I just read? Why is there no book 2 yet? Just read it.

Whoa!!! So worth the hype

Might stare at a wall just to soak in the gravity of what I just listened to. Thank god this is only two books because I need the conclusion asap. Tik tok flooded my feed with this book and it was so worth the hype. Best fantasy book I’ve read in a looooong time! 10 stars!

I was wildly impressed with the perfect attention to detail Schneider created to help the reader visualize what was happening. There was no fluff, no extras, straight to the point, yet enough detail to fully grasp everything happening to the characters including visualizing their surroundings.

I most certainly did not see the plot twist coming. I heard it existed and was anxious about it the whole time reading, nervously awaiting its reveal. I kept trying to think of scenarios of what it could be. But I was so off based with all my wild theories. It definitely broke my heart a bit and I am chomping at the bit for the next book!

I listened to the audio while eyeball reading (maybe about 40% of it). Great book to duel read!

You Got Me!

Is this book a literary masterpiece of artful prose? Nope. Is it incredibly entertaining? Yes! The narrator is terrific. Top-tier. This book is what you want in a Romantasy: fated mates, one room at the inn, slow burn, and he falls first. The world-building is okay and relatively simple, but the explanation is sometimes confusing. The characters are multi-faceted and have shades of light and dark in them, so it's hard to tell who is the villain. I liked that a lot. There isn't much spice at all. And that ending?!!!!! If you read any reviews, everyone mentions the surprise ending. Even though I knew there was a big surprise, and was looking for it, this book still got me! Wow! LFG for Book 2! I'm hooked.

I cannot wait for the next book. this one was too good. I did not guess the plot twist..I hope in the next book we get flash backs and see what was happening behind the scenes. because wow! so good

What a fun ride!

Really enjoyed this story. It keeps you engaged the whole time and itching to find out what’s going to happen. I’m excited to learn more about the world and the new characters. That last sentence absolutely killed me though.

Metal Slinger by Rachel Schneider completely shredded my soul like a power chord in a thunderstorm. I went in expecting action and badassery—I got that, sure—but I was not prepared to be emotionally mugged in Chapter 56 and left dangling on a cliffhanger so sharp, it should come with a warning label.

The betrayals? Ruthless. The character arcs? Chef’s kiss diabolical. The pacing? Like being dragged behind a flaming motorcycle through a hurricane of plot twists. Schneider crafts a world that’s all blade and spark, and just when you think you’re safe—BAM. Emotional ambush.

I laughed. I screamed. I may have thrown my book across the room and then crawled across the floor to keep reading. My boyfriend had to stage an intervention. No, I don’t know when Light Wielder comes out. Yes, I’m suffering. Dramatically.

I only knocked off half a star because I physically cannot deal with this wait. I’m in literary limbo. Rachel, if you’re reading this: I love you, but also, HOW COULD YOU. 🙈😭☠️
