Clear Christianity

First off, I must give Julian Rhind-Tutt's narration five stars. It was easy to understand his words due to excellent diction. Also, when a passionate, or emphasized, word or phrase was to be told, it was delivered very well, sometimes giving goosebumps.

As far as the author, I give C.S. Lewis high praise for the ease in which he explains every idea. No matter what the subject, he'll give an analogy that even the simplest of minds (like mine) will clearly understand. You'll finish listening to the sentence saying "That makes perfect sense."

I was once an atheist (as Lewis was) and this inspired my purchase of the book a while ago. I did not actually read/listen to it - thinking that our different denominations would come into ply - but my pastor gave it as a side-read earlier this month. So, I dove in and I found, despite our different denominations, Lewis explained the path to salvation clearly, with the highest common sense imaginable.

Mere Christianity, complex ideas in simple terms

C.S. Lewis was a Britt, so it's only fitting to have a British narrator. The content was originally intended for radio, so listening flows naturally. The chapters are short too-- 10--20 minutes. A great starter!

Interesting to an atheist

I enjoyed this book very much. While Lewis hasn't quite converted me to Christianity, he has given me a much deeper and more nuanced understanding of the religion's basic teachings and ideas than I could have ever scrounged up on my own. Overall an enjoyable listen - Julian Rhind-Tutt is delightfully British.

Fabulous. A must read! This book is all "meat" and not a quick listen; the kind where you listen to a chapter or two a day and let it digest. I highly recommend it!

timeless book

Would you consider the audio edition of Mere Christianity to be better than the print version?

no i still like the print but i love being able to listen while i drive and to have it on in the back ground while i work

A wonderful help to building one's faith. A great help to understanding key points of Christianity I had not ever considered. :-)

Good theology and logical analysis

Good explanation and I loved the logical analysis and theology. He has a very good way of explaining the complicated in a simplified easy to understand way.

No characters in this book. Did a good job of reading nonfiction book.

This is one of the best books on Christianity that I have every read. It is well worth the time and money. I recommend the kindle companion with this book.
