First book very good, 2 and 3 meh

There is a lot to like about Maxim. It's got two complicated characters, one a sadist and one a masochist. Too bad these characters are never really given the chance to explore their chemistry together. In the first book, there is a lot of great sex and it looks like we are going to get a thorough description of the erotic journey of this down on her luck hooker and this Russian mafia boss. By the second book the author seems to more or less lose interest in the eroticism and instead take up the narrative space with the boring (for me) family war within the Russian mafia that get increasingly baroque through book three and sexual relationship recedes more and more into the background. It's too bad, since the first book was so promising.

Still, definitely worth a credit.

I tried... I really tried. Twice.

Book 1- lame. So much for all the good reviews! Oh, look-- book 2 has even better reviews.... maybe I should give it the benefit of the doubt. Wrong. Book 2- lamer. Suckey McSuckerson. I kept hoping for a redeeming ending of some sort, but, like it's predecessor, nothin'. Just like the first book, 2's storyline was pretty much non-existent, and the "heroine's" overuse of GD basically negated it's intended impact. This was just another excuse to write a crud-ton of unrealistically timed idiot-girl-in-a-book smut. Book 3- wait-- even better reviews, yet? Nope, I won't be getting pulled into that one, too. Not going to bother, already deleted. Bye Felicia.... I mean, Francesca.
One plus- the Narrator was decent. I'm just sorry she was subjected to these books.

Too much awfulness

Had to stop reading. It was more than I could handle. I have a high tolerance for horrible circumstances but this was beyond anything I had read before.

Irritating narrator for amazing story

This narrator gets so irritating when saying 'f' or 'th'. All one hears is spit and a whistling type squeek. Uggggg. For such an amazingly story please pay for better narration.

Hold On

Loved the narration of Zara Eden, WOW
A roller coaster ride , that will, turn around and wanting more.

Heads up this is not for the fainthearted . The story revolves around two pretty broken characters with a cast of characters who keep your interest and want you to know their stories too. These stories are emotional and brutal in places .

Just wow
