Painful

I listen/read many books each year, but have never reviewed. This audiobook was so bad I couldn’t help but write a review as a warning. I have listened to other books previously that utilize whisper sync. They obviously do not compare to our favorite narrators, however, this book was just painful. The tone and phrasing were incredibly awkward, and the pronunciation was even botched on simple words, such as “does.” There was also one chapter early on in the book that was obviously from later in the book, which took me a few minutes to figure out how we got from A to Z with the flip of a page.

I will say that even with the extremely poor performance, I did continue on with the story, even though every chapter had me strongly considering giving up. So that must say something positive for the storyline, right? Anyhow, buyer beware.
