(( CLAIMED BY THE MOB BOSS )) Wasn't Bad, But Could have been Better. I would say it's a 1 and Done type listen.

Ok I try to Give credit where credit is due, but this listen is kinda a limited Author credit for me.

For me This story had real potential but, it lost me a bit .

Ok ,Let's Start with what I did like about the book.

1. There really was No Other Crazy Exs to deal with. Refreshing, I know Right . Weeeel Kind of ...

2. Elle Sonali did do a really good job with her Character Millie's voice.

3. I liked that Millie was Humble not quite broken and as the story went on her Back Bone Grew stronger.

4. I liked that Stefvon, and Eric Were Dealt with.

Now On To what I didn't care for ....

1. Gabriel McKnight Did a HORRIBLE JOB NARRATING HIS PART AS VIKTOR. He over tried to be someone he wasn't Which just made it awful to listen to. Which is one of the reasons why I feel this is one and done story for me.

I see what other reviewers were saying about his part . It's like he tried way to hard to be something he clearly was not. He would have been better to speak in his own voice.

2. There was no crazy Exs but there was a crazy Friend / Father figure who had his own agenda for his behavior, that didn't really have a valid reason for his feelings and his actions. Like he wanted to be part of Viktors family But the Why was left un addressed .

3. If Viktor is a Mob Boss how can he be Kinda clueless and distracted leading a bratva ?

4. Viktor started out Dominate, then he became somewhat more like a soldier than a boss . He let his father figure direct him other than him being the one in control . Just seemed like he lost his dominance as the story went on.

Maybe I am wrong to do this and I do Apologize in advance to the Author for going there. but I need to make a point in my review in comparison of the types of books and Dominate type Characters.

EXELENT book.

starting with
Sweet Cruelty by Zoe Blake .

All men in that series are Russian and Are Alpha Males .How you would think a Bratva leader would behave .

Again I do apologize to the Author as each author has thier own vision of thier story and how they want it told .

Viktor as a Mob Boss and Bratva Leader just didn't seem to fit my version of a Alpha Male so that's why I went there with The Shout outs.

This book Did touch on Some BDSM. It was light if your into that.

I am also a details kinda listner , I don't recall them mentioning what color Eyes Viktor or Millie had. We know Millie had blonde hair and Viktor had dark Hair . but no mention of eye color for either character. Another Reason this book fell short for me .

So over all the Story was actually pretty good but there were what I call un addressed areas In the book that just fell short for me .

Would I recommend this ...
Maybe,,,
I listened to it , would I do it again most likely not .

but Hey,, This is just my opinion and what I expected in a Mob Boss Type book.

Just Because this book Didn't really meet my expectation doesn't mean I won't give this Author another try .
They can't please everyone all the time. 🙂

Ridiculous accent

While the story line is half way decent, the male accents are absolutely annoying and ridiculous

Russian sounds Asian???

The voice of Viktor and Stepan sound Asian at times. it was distracting from the story.

Male narrators fake accent...grrrr

Male narration, he should have just spoke without the accent. Was he trying for Russian or German? either way is was horid. Storyline was good but could have been great with a few tweaks.

Male narrative is horrible. The story was okay but you can’t get past how he fakes the accent

Male voice sounds like Count Chocula

The story and woman are ok but I can't follow the story when the male narrates- it's horrible. all of those rolled R's omg. He sounds like he's gonna start counting like the count on sesame street.

Finally peace

Words can not express how grateful I am to finding my strong partner. Life still holds surprises for us and our family needs time to heal.

Great female voice and acting ability. Very impressive.

Zero all great Good story line and imaginative plot expansion. The characters and interactions were written well. the end

Bratva mafia

I just loved this audiobook. It has lots of twists and turns and a few surprises
