I received this audiobook from narrator Lynn Barrington in exchange for my honest review. I feel fortunate to have had this opportunity as this
was an extremely enjoyable book! This is the 1st time I've read anything
by Erin Noelle and it won't be my last!

MILF starts off with an extremely powerful prologue. My mouth literally dropped open in shock as I listened to just the first few pages! I thought this revealing prologue would be a negative since it tells the reader exactly what is going to inspire, leaving no question about whether or not the female and male main characters would or would not end up getting it on. Despite the lack of mystery, Ms. Noelle does an amazing job of building up the suspense, creating sexual tension between the characters that is so strong that it was palpable! Noelle also demonstrated that she excels at writing from a dual point of view. Instead of boring the reader by having each character share their perspective, thoughts or feelings about the same events, Noelle keeps the story progressing, having each character pick up from wherever the other character last ended narrating. The absence of repetition was refreshing and much appreciated! I was also impressed that Noelle caused me to laugh out loud at least twice while listening to this audiobook. I occasionally enjoy romantic comedies and respect those authors for making me laugh but MILF is a book filled with kick ass hot sex and emotion - it's definitely not a ROM-COM!

The majority of the time I was reluctant to put this book down yet there were a few occasions when I felt irritated by what I was reading. For example, I personally did not care for the way Gray spoke amorously in Spanish. It felt pretentious in my opinion. I personally can't imagine a 21-year-old man suddenly referring to his best friend's mom by the terms of endearment he did. Also, I would have liked to have had a bit more dialogue between the main
couple regarding the dangers of what they were doing. I also thought they should have had a discussion about whether or not they had a future together much earlier on in the story. Despite these minor irritations, the main reason why I did not give the story 5 stars was because the ending felt extremely rushed. In my opinion, the first 1/3 of this book focuses on the build up of the sexual tension between Mia and Gray. The middle of this book focuses on the months of passion and romance the couple shared as they developed a new kind of relationship together. However, the final 1/3rd of this book for me felt like a chaotic rush. Instead of giving us readers the details of what the characters endured, Ms. Noelle suddenly jumped ahead, condensing and summarizing years worth of material. I felt as though the author was in a rush to end this book.

NARRATOR PERFORMANCE:
Ms. Barrington was the perfect narrator for this book. It is obvious that Ms. Barrington is female yet she does not have that cutesy, bubblegum, cheerleader-type voice some women have. However, she doesn't have a manly, deep voice either. What she does have is a voice that is perfectly-suited for reading both female and male characters. Throughout the entire book, the narration was even keeled and appropriate to the content being read. I did notice that 3 words were mispronounced (English words; I'm not sure about some of the words said in Spanish), yet other than these minor errors, the quality of the narration was fantastic. I don't think there is another narrator out there that would have been a better fit for this book!

HATE the Title - The Book Was So Much More

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Mia is married and the mother to Adam a 20 something-year-old guy. One day her husband proclaims that he has been with someone else for years and will be filing for divorce.

Grayson is Adam's best friend and the son of the woman Mia's husband has been sleeping with (are you still following?) One evening Grayson is thrown out of his home so he goes to his best friend's house. Adam's mother, Mia, agrees to let him live there is long as he needs to.

Although they try to fight it (eyeroll) for a minute or two, Grayson and Mia cannot deny the attraction between them. The rest you can probably imagine…

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my review. I would not have looked at it on my own based solely on the title. However, it is a unique twist on the older man/younger woman plot that seems to be the norm these days. It is hot, sexy and naughty-hate the title.

I love Lynn Barrington and anything that I have heard her perform. She is what held my interest and made the story believable and not as odd as it could've been. Five stars for her narration.

This is a great book; this book was written by Erin Noelle and narrated by Lynn Barrington. Mia finds out that her husband is having an affair with her son’s best friend’s mother. She set out to put her life back in order. When her twenty year old son’s friend Grayson comes to live with them they try to fight the attraction they have for each other.

The narrator Lynn Barrington, did a great job, and was very easy to listen too. This is the first time I have listened to this narrator, and I am looking forward to listening to more books by her. She did a great job with the different characters and their voices.

This book has a hot, sweet, and great story, I am looking forward to reading more books by this author, and listening to more by this narrator.

If you could sum up MILF: Wrong Kind of Love in three words, what would they be?

It was not what I expected. I was thinking it would be a bit more of a light hearted story. There are some laugh out loud moments because, Mia’s sister (Stella) is a riot and has no filter but it was also a bit of a tearjerker, second chance romance. I am happy for Gray and Mia at the end.

So much more than I expected💋

I love Mia and Greyson together. This story was everything I wanted it to be. A light, easy, funny and super steamy read. Super hot sexy scenes and tender loving moments. I want more!

The only thing that could have made this better? Don't get me wrong, Lynn Barrington is fabulous and I love her, but a sexy male narrator's voice reading for Greyson...that would have been amazeballs!!❤️
