Publisher's summary

For 10 years, Lady Daisy Meadows has been in love with Auric, the Duke of Crawford. Ever since his gallant rescue years earlier, Daisy knew she was destined to be his Duchess. Unfortunately, Auric sees her as his best friend's sister and nothing more. But perhaps, if she can manage to find the fabled heart of a duke pendant, she will win over the heart of her duke.

Auric, the Duke of Crawford enjoys Daisy's company. The last thing he is interested in however, is pursuing a romance with a woman he's known since she was in leading strings. This season, Daisy is turning up in the oddest places and he cannot help but notice that she is no longer a girl. But Auric wouldn't do something as foolhardy as to fall in love with Daisy. He couldn't. Not with the guilt he carries over his past sins... Not when he has no right to her heart... But perhaps, just perhaps, she can forgive the past and trust that he'd forever cherish her heart - but will she let him?

okay

It was OK. But slow. I felt like it was very redundant. Over all I was disappointed

Thoroughly enjoyable!

I really enjoyed this book. It was about forgiveness, redemption, and love finding a way. I’m really glad I read the previous books in the series to tie it all together.

great story

loved it...I could feel his pain and hers in return. Like many of the stories of this era there were times I wanted to bash their heads together and make them talk but all in all a good book.

This was nice

Great characters. Daisy and Auric have been friends her whole life. The Heart of a Duke pendant will help her capture him. Auric is busy trying to find her a husband due to his loyalty to her late brother. You can imagine what happens!

How Christi Caldwell is able to write these great books and manage her lovely family amazes me. Great job!

And kudos to Tim Campbell for the wonderful narration.

hmm....

So... the bemoaning of the thought of "plump" was annoying! And there was plenty of time to give up the theory of a thin blonde English miss and let the voluptuous russet haired beauty be herself.... and that ALMOST happened. I was so disappointed that the this was given SO much weight. (pun unintended), it was such a good story without it. Or rather without beating my brain with it.

EXCELLENT NARRATOR!

HEAT FACTOR: Non existent.

A love a long time coming finally hits its mark

Loved Daisy & Auric's story. It had a different feel from the others which was nice. A lot of LOL parts & a story of a long-held love year's in the making figures itself out & finally gets it right. ❤️💕❤️

The Duke falls for a "plump", large breasted woman

Well well. Where to start? A duke that does not know what's good for him but at the end he makes a successful match. There is no romance prior to the marriage, the Duke had never really seen the "plump", large breasted sister of his best friend as anything but a friend. One day he sees her under the sun and realizes she is all grown up and beautiful (though her being plump and large breasted are continually commented on especially alongside the fact that the duke prefers blonds and beautiful and slim). This coupled with her appearance at a ball, almost half exposed, and of course once he sees the goods, he is lost and soon realizes he is truly in love. Let me see if I missed any other parts.... No I am sure that's it.
I had a hard time finishing this book because I did not find the story clever at all. It became a chore to finish it and the end scene was once again about the heroine's nicely plump hands after giving birth. Ugh. All I can say is save your credit on something more engaging.

Slow start

Not much substance and an awful lot of narrative and internal thoughts versus dialogue and interaction. For example, a great deal of filler and repetition in the first two hours alone.
