Great addition to the Ruinous Love Trilogy

I loved the banter and humor in Butcher and Blackbird…BUT this one? Far more romance. I loved it! It got very emotional for me but I’m a sap. Great plot, great characters. Great narration. Everything was GREAT! Have I mentioned that it’s great? Highly recommend!

I listened to the audiobook while reading along. The audio is great!

Lark Montague is bubbly, fun, loves glitter, gives out gold stars, and is a fierce protector. She’s a multiple deleter. She plays guitar and sings. There is past trauma.

Lachlan Kane is a contract killer, protective, broody older brother, leather worker, caring, and blushes.

They both find themselves in a fake marriage and slowly learn each other secrets and trust. We have the suspense of The Phantom. I enjoyed this book as much as the first.

So much glitter!

I was hooked from the start with this fantastic sequel to Butcher and Blackbird. Getting to know Lachlan and Lark allowed me to fall into the world of the Ruinous Love Trilogy so easily. Eric Nolan and Samantha Brentmoor do a great job performing a duet narration. I laughed, cried, gagged (again), and absolutely ate up this story. Thankfully she didn't ruin pizza for me. As always, check your trigger warnings with this one!

Great story with amazing narrators!

Perfect amount of spice and murders lol! I didn’t enjoy this one as much as Butcher and Blackbird though. Love the Kane Brothers, Rose, Sloan, but something about Lark I don’t like. Narrator was great but I just don’t like her character as much as the others. I find her kind of spoiled and annoying and the book was about her so that’s on me. Will happily by the third though!!

I loved it. The banter and build up between the MCs was funny. The narrators did an amazing job. I love how the FMC sings in this audiobook.
