Publisher's Summary

The power of lateral thinking.

Lateral thinking is one of those terms that many people have heard of, but probably very few of us really know what it means. “Lateral thinking is a phrase coined by Dr. Edward de Bono as a counterpoint to conventional or vertical thinking. In conventional thinking, we go forward in a predictable, direct fashion. Lateral thinking involves coming at the problem from new directions - literally, from the side.”

Examining the herd mentality.

In this audiobook, we’ll be discussing a few topics all of us will face. Herd mentality, insecurity, and topics that are related to how we can “think outside the box". We’ll talk about why and how people act the same way or adopt similar behaviors as the people around them - often ignoring their own feelings in the process.

We have been trained to listen to the constraints of the outside world and the social standards of the society and fail to use all of our resources to change even the smallest of circumstances in our lives. It is time to tackle problems in our life, from lack of space to starting a new career on a small budget or even relationship problems.

What this audiobook proposes at a surface level may not appear to make an impact in your life. But as you listen and apply ideas from this audiobook, you’ll begin to understand how changing the way you view your circumstances can change how you approach all problems in your everyday life.

A result-oriented piece that will tap your potential of lateral thinking. It’s one of my personal favorites as it explains what it is, how it works, and what it does in the realm of creative thinking. Just perfect!

Drew me in.

The clear description of the book drew me in. I have heard of this concept, but I’m not sure what it clearly means. This is a suitable book that can answer most queries. It’s all about coming at the problem from new directions.

Nice!

And because I love to read, but haven't had the time to sit down with a good book lately, I considered checking this out. It’s different from what I used to buy, but it’s very significant I must say. Nice book!

Simple but its nice to review the basics

Made me very sceptical to honest. felt like i was lectured at school. examples are simple but are obviously made up. if you want another parent mini lecture for an hour this is for you. But its nice to hear this book 8n case you might learn something new or feel like tou aready know all of this and dont do any of these things.

Very insightful and informative

A good book to start opening new ideas within your self, also learn to develop new perspectives towards life and keep it as a generator and an in-depth and good introduction to expanding your consciousness.

well done

It helps organize and think in different ways. If you like to experiment, it gets you to look at things in different light. It gives examples of the techniques as well as exercises to do. Fun and practical.
