Publisher's summary
This two-book bundle includes Learning Languages and Learn Spanish.
Learning Languages
Do you need to learn a language?
This is the place to do it, no questions asked. This book uses a combination of orthodox immersion methods in order to make you go in one end a complete newbie to a language and come out the other a fluent speaker. It won't be any shortage of work on your part, but this book is going to set you up with all the tools that it possibly can so that you can be a fantastic speaker of a second language in as short of a time as a few months. Through encouragement, motivation, rational observation, and careful breaking down of key concepts into malleable bite-sized chunks, this book makes learning language easier than it's ever been before.
Learn Spanish
Let's face it: the language market is changing. English has been the lingua franca for a while now, but it's not going to always be that way. It's projected that Chinese or Spanish might take over the English language as the lingua franca in the next century. So it makes sense that you're searching this book: Spanish is an in-demand language to know. By knowing Spanish, you're opening the door to communication with hundreds of millions of more people than you could speak with before. This makes you a desirable asset to a great number of companies and makes you an all around more well-rounded person.

Story
Best-selling social historian Charles Murray has written a delightfully fussy - and entertaining - book on the hidden rules of the road in the workplace - and in life - from the standpoint of an admonishing, but encouraging, workplace grouch and taskmaster. Why the curmudgeon? The fact is that most older, more senior people in the workplace are closet curmudgeons. In today's politically correct world, they may hide their displeasure over your misuse of grammar or your overly familiar use of their first name without an express invitation. But don't be fooled by their pleasant demeanor....

Banging course. Gives you the confidence to speak and trains your ear to understand a native speaking the lingo. I combined it with a couple of other apps e.g. Duolingo, which I found gave my learning a little extra something. Roll on the intermediate course

A very good starting point
I have been using this book with Duolingo and I'm actually surprised how much I have learned with this. I listen every morning on my way to work and it is very easy to follow, even when only listening for 20 min pr session. Obviously it doesn't make you a master of the language, but I believe that it is a strong foundation to grow from.

A true beginners buy
I bought this for my husband. He found there was too much repetition and a lot of English used for the directions. His level of Spanish may be beyond this and he does better with immersion so, I would say this is more for true beginners.
