KDT Book 5.5 not quite a Book 6

I enjoyed the book a lot, but it didn't feel like it was worthy of being book 6- maybe book 5.5.. The climax of the book felt flat compared to books 1-5.

Felt like filler

Re-listened to the whole series in anticipation for the release of this book and was left a little disappointed. It felt a lot like when an anime catches up to a manga and they release episodes about side characters while the writers are working on the main story. I would still recommend this series to anyone and will be getting book 7 as soon as possible. Just hoping it gets back into the meat of the story instead feeling like a side quest.

Love this series!

Another great addition to a really creative and engaging series! My one critique is that it felt like we were only halfway through the story when this book was ending. I know you’re supposed to leave them wanting more, but I really wish there was more after having waited so long for this book to come out.

boon felt like an outline

The whole book felt like an outline. super frustrating but glad we got a new book. Nick did a good job like always. Kade felt a little off.

We need the next one!

A fantastic continuation of a fantastic series! Every book seems to come improve upon the previous one.

It’s all coming together!

A lot has been resolved in this book, but there’s still so much left! One of my absolute favorite series, and Nick Podell is a fantastic orator. Please write the next book quickly!

Hmmmm. Not quite sure.

Huge fan of all the other books and Kel Kade in general. I was a bit disappointed about this book though. Don’t know if I thought we would reach some kind of climax from almost 2 years wait, but we didn’t really.

Still follows and a huge fan, but was expecting more. Expectations are the biggest problem here I think, because the book was generally really good, and amazing performance by nick also.

I do think rezkin is starting to get a bit overpowered. With portals, illusions, invisibility, unwielding power and weapon mastery, and the greatest spy network on earth and much more. I’m missing the good old hardworking and fighting rezkin with a great and mysterious personality + a lot of personal development. Someone relatable and someone to look up to I guess.

At 2 hours left of the book the protagonist almost turned Yseria and Malcius. I was hoping for more personal rezkin character development. Will still read everything Kel Kade produces though.

Missed Rez

This series is so great. I love every book and can't wait for the next. This would make an incredible movie franchise or TV series.

Excellent continuation to the series

This is one of those series you just don’t want to end great continuation to the series and as always an incredible performance from Nick Podehl

Amazing story

Hi, the story is not rushing through trying to finish it up.
The writer is taking his time and developing the story in a way that makes it fun to read.
