A charismatic psychopath is poised to win the presidency. Only one man can stop him—his identical twin, the brother he framed for the brutal murder of their parents twenty-five years ago.

When Richard Zumwalt slaughtered his wealthy St. Louis family, he stole not just their fortune … but his twin Henry’s entire life. Branded a killer and locked away, Henry vanished into the system. But now he’s back, living under a new name, and ready to expose the truth.

As Richard’s political machine propels him toward the White House, long-buried secrets surface: a daughter raised on lies, a lover silenced by poison, and a deadly alliance with an ex-Mossad assassin who will stop at nothing to protect his employer.

In a twisted race between justice and power, two men who share the same face will decide the fate of a nation. Only one can survive—and only one deserves to.

Killer captured my attention from the first page. If you are looking for a thriller that keeps you turning the page, while also bringing up important current issues in the world then this is the book for you!

For the Thrill Seekers!

I'm not usually a fan of thrillers, so this is probably not a book I would have picked up on my own. However, a friend strongly recommended *Killer*, and I'm so glad I gave it a chance.

What surprised me most was how completely absorbed I became in the story. The plot kept me hooked, but it was the characters that truly won me over. They are written with such depth and authenticity that they stop feeling like fictional characters and start feeling like real people you know personally. I found myself caring deeply about each of them.

The story is full of unexpected twists and turns. Just when I thought I knew where things were heading, the author surprised me again. It's one of those rare books that feels genuinely unpredictable.

Beyond the suspense, this is also a story about love, integrity, human values, and the choices that shape our lives. Those deeper themes stayed with me long after I finished the last page.

It looks like *Killer* may have converted me into giving thrillers another chance. And I will definitely be looking forward to the author's next book.

I Didn’t Think I Liked Thrillers—Until This Book

"I am an avid listener of audibooks when I commute, and I listen to numerous thrillers. Scott Brick is one of my favorite narrators, and he has done it again. The story is not only a fast paced thriller, but it is also a coming of age story, a love story and a story that plays out in small towns, big cities, and the US congress. When I listened to Scott, I could see the places, feel the characters and experience the action. Listening to Killer is like strapping yourself into a roller coaster ride, and losing yourself in the journey. So, if you are bored with your commute, then download Killer narrated by Scott Brick, and before you know it, not only will your commute be over, but you will look forward to getting back into your car to hear what happens next."

A must listen

I have both read and also listened to Killer and highly recommend listening to Killer read by Scott Brick as he infuses the narrative with the nuances of the characters and conveys emotion so vividly it is almost tangible. The book is fast paced with excellent character development and a plot line that is electrifying as it unfolds. Some scenes, such as the hospital ER, the topless bar, the mental institution and the nation's capitol are so intense and realistic, you feel like you are witnessing them in person. Marcus' attention to detail, history and factual descriptions on rural Oregon, alcoholism, political machinations in the senate and narcissism are well written and very informative. This book is a gem!

I enjoyed this book so much that I was late to work a few times because I stayed listening in the parking lot. The opening scene is immediately gripping, and Marcus kept me interested throughout, eager to see how it all ends. A very good book, and I’ll look forward to reading this author’s subsequent work.
