Story didn't freeze me out.

Michael wrote another show stopper. How he comes up with these ideas, I don't know. And Scott is as great as ever.

Creative storey with current politics in the rear view.

Is it sci-fi? Well, in part with consistent characters and a pace that kept me engaged. Even the lab animals were animated. Good guys vs bad guys was over shadowed by the characters' themselves. Worthwhile read.

With Scott Brick as the narrator and a review by James Rollins, I knew this would be a good book. The complex plot and unforeseen twists kept me hooked up to the last page. I look forward to reading more of his books!

Sounds Plausible to Me!!!!

This book was by far the most mysterious book I’ve listened to by Michael Grumley. I was about a third of the way through the book and still had no idea what was going on. I was slightly baffled but still trying to figure out what the heck was happening when four hours in the mystery is finally revealed.

There was an accident and a school bus plunges into icy water. John Reiff is onboard and he manages to get everyone out before the bus sinks. Everyone but himself. The next thing he knows is he wakes up in a medical facility. The doctors revive him but there seem to be complications. That all sounds pretty normal but the listener is given clues that all is not quite what Reiff is lead to believe.

He’s told that he’s in a hospital but he knows that’s not true, he’s the only patient there. And what hospital has locks on the outside of patient doors? When he asks what town he’s in they are dishonest “for his own good “. Other questions are answered similarly, also for his own good. But it takes a good chunk of the book until you get to find out why he is being fed falsehoods.
I’m not going to spoil this book for anyone, if you want to know what’s going on and why you will have to get the book yourself! Enjoy!!

Scott Brick’s narrative is outstanding as always. He increases the mystery and suspenseful effect with his dramatic flair.
This book has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.

Another outstandingly and performance!

This story was magnificent. Outstanding writing of Michael C. Grumley! Scott brick is an excellent and my favorite narrator And brings this story to life.The combination of Michael and Scott Make this the most outstanding story of the year!I just can't get enough of these 2 working together.It's the best in the business!I thoroughly enjoyed this story and will listen to it again. Would have been fine with me if they put Rachel in the deep freeze early on in the book.

Yes, yes indeed

Such a interesting way to start a new series. We appreciated so much not only the concepts presented, but also the moral conflicts generated by not questioning the ramifcations of choices made.

The possibility that this could happen.

Too many characters to keep track of. No epilogue telling what happened. Too many loose ends.

Innovative concept and writing

The best novels are creative , fiction with a ton of just flat out factual information. This book has it all

The pursuit of ever lasting life.

The advancements in technology around the human condition were highlighted throughly the story. The twist of realizing the world they were living had been for ever changed by the conditions that exist in our world today. Overall, a great read that is enhanced with the audio narrator.
