Excellent story, excellent narrator

Love the small town story line, the description of the relationships, the history of family ties.

so far I'm really liking this series about detective Jake cashing. it's a great book with a great performance you'd be missing out if you didn't read it

The writing is spot on.

Right from the beginning, the writing keeps you glued to the storyline and wanting more. I know it won't take long before I'm finished with book 5 so I'm hoping that book six will be out very soon. Hopefully Jake Cashen will be around for a long time!

Love this series!

Another great story! Narrator is amazingly talented. One of the best and does a great job voicing all the different characters. Looking forward to the rest of this series.

Excellent read

Book number two in the series is in my opinion actually a better than the first and the first was really good. The storyline the narrator, and the interesting plot twists were very good. In the wrapup, I thought it was missing how the animal rights activist waved into the whole plot itself. But definitely worth the purchase.

twists and turns

I loved the way the plot danced and weaved. It was a suspenseful and delightful tale. I like the development of the characters.

Another outstanding book!

Detective Jake Cashen is settling into life back in his hometown, as an assistant wrestling coach hs and helping his sister w her kids and his grandpa. Then a killer starts targeting hunters…and this case is personal! Another outstanding story!

I love the characters and plots in this series. I can't wait to start the next one.

I liked the book because it was a continuous from book one and contained developed characters.

Worth it for Cendese’s reading alone

Loved that there was less wrestling in this one, but those who are against hunting will not likely enjoy it. Does a good job of nodding to the first book, but without spoilers so that someone starting with the second book could easily pivot to the first. Not sure I love the dynamic between Jake and Birdie, but we will see where that goes. Sheriff Landry is probably my favorite character in the series thus far and Cendese does such a job giving her a voice—literally and in bringing her character alive.
