I love the series!

Each book is better then the previous. I can’t wait for the next one! The teaser for the next novel got me.

Love the action, mystery and the surprise ending. Keeps you hooked. The narrator is great.

Love this series, but…

I love this series. The mysteries are fun and entertaining, and I care about the cast of interesting, well built characters. My only critique at this point in the series is that the main character, Jake, just doesn’t mature at all. He’s a total hot head, to the point of almost stupidity at times (at least in this one). I know it’s supposed to be that way, but it’s dull. He’s not learning from his mistakes, and that’s not noble or heroic, it’s honestly just plain dull. I’m disappointed in him (I know, I know… it’s a book - but I like the book, and I like him!). I want him to succeed and grow, but instead he’s just stuck repeating the same foolish mistakes, that are supposed to seem noble, endearing, maybe even masculine or chivalric. But it’s not. It’s getting annoying. I’m hoping the next one is a little different and that we see some kind of maturing with him. Funnily enough - I’m totally going to read/listen to them all regardless…

Like the series. Best if you have read previous books in the set. Little background given to characters.

Read as though one long run on sentence. Audio detracted from the story line for me.
