A lovely Christmas story

So how did Father Christmas get to be who we know today, this story answers that question. Suitable for pretty much any age. Youngsters will appreciate the flying reindeer who lives to pee on people and adults will love a well told, and well read, tale

A Boy Called Christmas

I was searching for a christmas story I hadn't read before, when, I stumbled across this little gem. This book is absolutely wonderful, funny sweet, gentle, a story for grown-up's children families, or anyone wanting a really lovely book to enjoy. I hadn't realised reindeer could be so naughty, listen and find out why. Plus you have the unsurpassable talents of Mr Fry.

A lovely Christmas story with a perfect narrator

Where does A Boy Called Christmas rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

A cosy Christmas story; perfectly written for its audience. Not one of my favourite ever books, but one which anyone would enjoy.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the character of Nicholas and I liked the way his story was told.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

There were lots of different ones really, but I like it when Nicholas met Meeka again at the Truth Fairy's House.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not particularly, it was fine to listen to it in bits and the chapters weren't very long so you could have one or two on a quick journey.

Any additional comments?

Lovely book for the time of year and inspired choice of narrator in Stephen Fry.

Wondeful

What made the experience of listening to A Boy Called Christmas the most enjoyable?

My daughter and I loved this book. We had listened to the 2nd book The Girl Who Saved Christmas first, without realising they came in order. It didn't spoil this book for us though as they are truly wonderful books.
Stephen Fry is the perfect Narrator for this book.

What other book might you compare A Boy Called Christmas to, and why?

I can't think of a book to compare to, but I can compare authors. In my opinion I would say Neil Gaiman and Matt Haig have similar quality to their writing which so many children's books do not have.

Have you listened to any of Stephen Fry’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Yes, and he's amazing.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Nicholas saw a side to his papa he never believed to be possible.

Any additional comments?

MANY MORE please!
