Publisher's Summary

A jilted bride. Her brother’s ex-buddy. A fake affair would be crazy...right?

Chloe Kingston’s life is exactly how she needs it: safe and stable. Right up until her reliable, low-risk fiancé jilts her on their fairy-tale wedding day. As she works her way through the reception champagne - and wonders where she’s going to live - she stumbles into her brother Linc’s ex-best friend.

If only Beckett Daniels was hideous. But he’s not. He’s everything her erstwhile groom was not. Hot. Sexy. Dangerous. And she’s just buzzed enough to want all that Greek-god gorgeousness to show her the kind of fun she’s been missing.

Beck thrives on calculated risks, but taking advantage of Linc’s little sister isn’t one of them. What he can do is haul her tipsy, tulle-clad, tempting little butt to the bridal suite to sleep it off. Then move her into his spare room - which has the satisfying side effect of driving her brother crazy.

With the paparazzi tracking their every move, they resort to a fake relationship to cool the hottest topic on the society pages. But when tragedy threatens, pain from their past reminds them that life doesn’t come without risks...and this time, they’ve gambled with their hearts.

Great story & narration

I loved Beck and Chloe’s story in this series. Connor Crais and Mackenzie Cartwright were wonderful as always and brought these characters and the story to life.

Good story!

I enjoy the Kingston family and the development of each family member. The only distraction was the male narrator, Conner Crais. He reads perfectly, but his narration doesn’t pull you into the story. There is a big difference between “reading” and “narrating” - narrating actually brings you into the story and makes you feel that you actually know these characters. Conner didn’t quite have it nailed, however, not enough to keep me from enjoying the story. The female narration was perfect.

Also, the male lead character, Beckett, had an almost unbelievable hangup with his sister’s earlier death. I’m glad he finally got through it, however!

Good follow up to book #1, performance is not the

Good story line. Disappointed in the male narrator, Connor. A bit dry with no personality. Better than many though.

The jilted bride

Being left at the altar may seem cliché, but that’s what happens to the Kingston ‘princess’…and this from a groom that was supposed to be a safe choice! Thankfully she’s saved from a night of regret by her brother’s ex best friend, Beck. A friendship blooms but is either party willing to take a chance at having their hearts broken? Cute story with some sad moments but great HEA!

Loved This One

Chloe was left at the altar. Determined not to let this turn of events get her down, she decides to continue on with the celebration. While partying like a rockstar she just happens to run into her brother’s biggest nemesis, Beck. Not wanting anything to happen to Chloe, he is determined to take care of the over-intoxicated bride. Being the perfect gentleman, he makes sure she gets to her room and in bed to sleep off her night.

Their relationship goes beyond that night when Beck offers Chloe a place to stay to figure out her next steps. During this time, they start developing feelings for one another. But with Beck’s reluctance to fall in love and Chloe’s stage in life, will this become something more or fizzle out?

A great close proximity, friend’s to lovers story what is beautifully performed by Mackenzie and Connor will have you wanting more.

Chloe and Beck

Beck and Lincoln were best friends but had a falling out at College.
Chloe is Linc’s sister, so when Chloe and Beck become interested romantically,
There is friction.

Probably a great book but Talking in third person

To be honest it’s probably a great book and all but couldn’t even listen for 10mins of it
Having the narrators talk in third person is the worse
