The first but not the last

This may have been the first book by Molly McAdams i've listened to, but it will most definitely not be the last! I personally Love Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke as narrators, and to have them come together was fabulous! I loved the foreshadowing at the beginning, I loved the personality traits, and the clear love between Rae and Sawyer from the beginning. Everyone carries baggage, but these two carry more than their average load, and they still somehow change and evolve! I LOVED this book, and can't wait to start the next the series!

Steamy Romance

Well written, with a lot of steamy scenes, romance, and intrigue surrounding characters pasts. Some readers might be put off by their first few encounters, but 🤷🏽‍♀️

Very racy

Interesting read. The voices could have been done differently to make it an easier listen. Kind of a mystery / romance mix. Very good story. Leaves you wanting more.

Loved this Small Town Romance!

A slow building romance, this book had everything I love in a small town romance - meddling friends and family; sexy men; town gossip; and family secrets. Sawyer and Rae both have tragic pasts that have shaped their futures in unexpected ways but together their broken pieces don’t feel so broken anymore. When Rae comes into the small town of Amber, these two definitely do not start off on the right foot. I loved the push and pull of the heat and tension shared between them until they finally let go and gave into their desires.

“It doesn’t matter that I didn’t want you, because I crave you.”

Neither Sawyer or Rae were looking for anything remotely like love, but sometimes we can’t control how our heart beats differently when we meet our soulmate. With Rae being a romance writer, you’d think her life would be romantic and idyllic, but with the secrets she carried around in her heart, her life was nothing like the stories she tells. I loved that with Sawyer she was able to build a relationship that finally won over her heart and gave her a true place to call home. And Sawyer, I would be hard pressed to not fall for a man who puts everyone first, trying his hardest to hold his family together, a man who knows how to take care of others even if it breaks his own heart. I absolutely love Molly’s storytelling and her ability to capture my heart over and over, another fantastic audiobook.

And let’s not forget the narrators- I will never pass up an audiobook with the wonder that is Jason Clarke’s voice. Between him and Erin, the narration was just oh so good. Their voices are a favorite narrating duet for me, I fall more in love each time I listen.

Female narrator has strange way of dragging out words

This female narrator has the strangest way of dragging out the ends of words. Not sure how to describe it. Pronounces words correctly and fully, but often drags out the last word of a sentence and hits a hard “nnn” sound or something; it’s almost like another syllable. It sounds so strange & distracts from listening.

Good story

Wish it had a better ending but sure it’s to lead to the next book but all in all it was an awesome story

Really enjoyable!

I really enjoyed this book. The narration was great, the story was great. There was even a twist towards the end that I didn't expect (and I've read and listened to enough books that not much surprises me any more ha). Great job!

Took a while!

it took a good long while for this book to really catch my interest. I almost gave up before finishing it. The narrator reads a bit too fast but after a while you get used to it. I'll check out the rest of the series.
